Award winning author of over 30 steamy romances.

Susan May’s love affair with books began when she was in the sixth grade and made a bad grade in math on her report card. (She still doesn’t like math.) Not allowed to watch TV for six weeks she filled her extra time with reading. She turned that love of reading into a passion for writing.

As author Susan Carlisle, she has completed more than thirteen books for HarperCollins Harlequin imprint medical line and recently signed a six book contact. Her heroes are strong, vibrant man and the woman that love them. She has been a finalist in the Holt and the Gayle Wilson Award for Excellence contests. In 2015, Susan was honored with the Georgia Romance Writers Chapter Volunteer Award and the Nancy Knight Mentorship Award. She has supported beginning writers through one on one critiques, judged both published and unpublished contests on both the chapter and the national level.

Susan has also published two nonfiction books. Her first was Nick’s New Heart traditional published by Tiger Iron Press about her son’s heart transplant experience. The second is a historical biography called A WWII Flight Surgeon’s Story released by Pelican Publishing under the author name S. Carlisle May.

Susan critiques weekly with her local writing group and spends the time she is not working on her latest book serving on a United Network for Organ Saving committee and is a member of the Congenital Heart Public Health Consortium. She has spent over twenty years speaking to groups about the importance of organ donation. Susan has presented workshops about promotion, rejection, time management, and memoir writing at national conventions as well as local conferences.

When her head is not in a book or she is not enjoying time with her twin grandchildren she travels, cross-stitches or can be found watching James Bond movies. Please visit her at www.SusanCarlisle. com, www.SusanCMay.com, www.WWIIArmyAirForceMedicine.com

This was my first book to read by Carlisle. It was great! The characters are strong and watching them fall in love was beautiful. I read this book in one day because I could not put it down! I am looking forward to reading everything Susan Carlisle has written.

I have to admit, Dr. Ty Smith become an instant “favorite hero.” He had it all—looks, brains, charm and a little bit of the past that he kept hidden. He and Dr. Michelle Ross are a perfect pair for each other. This was definitely a page-turner of enjoyment. Her books are a joy to read and do not disappoint!

The Rebel Doc Who Stole Her Heart by Susan Carlisle: Heart surgeon Michelle Ross is always in control andprofessional. After suffering enough in the past, she now hides behind her ice queen facade. But how long can she continue to remain aloof and in control when anesthesiologist Ty Smith sweeps into her operating theater and ruffles her well-groomed feathers!

Ty is the complete opposite of Michelle and lives his life the unorthodox way. As he begins to charm his way through Michelle's heart and break her ice queen facade, he realizes that he too has fallen for the ice queen.

The Rebel Doc Who Stole Her Heart by Susan Carlisle is a romance about two people who hide their real selves to protect themselves from hurt but when they meet each other, their facades began to break and they finally find love in each other.

Michelle and Ty are both running away from something they are afraid of facing. They both hide their real selves in their own but opposite way. I liked that they both were very relatable and yet unique in their own way. The plot was good and the characters made the story even more interesting. The medical details and the romance were in the right proportion and therefore this book fit perfectly in the medical line romance. The only thing I had a problem was with the flow of the story. Their were some breaks in the flow and the story does not go as smoothly as it should.

Overall, The Rebel Doc Who Stole Her Heart by Susan Carlisle is a good emotional romance which every medical romance reader will enjoy due to characters and the plot.

Heart surgeon Michelle Ross is always in control. She’s had enough pain in her life, thank you very much. Ty Smith is a maverick that lives his life free of all encumbrances. Wanderlust parents and a boatload of guilt have a lot to do with his life style. Despite their differences, or maybe because of their differences, they see things in each other and they fill gaps that others can’t fill. Ty breaks her heart when he leaves, but in so doing discovers he has broken his own as well. The changes he started in Michelle continue when he leaves. It is inevitable he will return.

For the most part the story moves right along. The phrase “eye of the stove” however, stopped me completely. I had to research what this was. I figured it must be a local (southern) colloquialism, but it stumped me. Although I don’t mind learning new things in stories, I don’t enjoy being bounced completely out of the book. What I liked in this story was the growth of both hero and heroine. It was even, and they were both likable characters.

THE REBEL DOC WHO STOLE HER HEART by author Susan Carlisle is a Harlequin and Mills & Boon Medical series is a January 2014 release.

Heart surgeon, Michelle needs her OR to run smoothly which meant every member to be on time. Then enters the anaesthesiologist, Ty, who is late and dosen’t conform to her idea by his behavior. He was a rebel. No rules worked with him. Could Michelle let herself go with it, and fall for him? But he was bound to leave, as he never stayed at one place. Would he take Michelle’s heart with him when he goes?

THE REBEL DOC WHO STOLE HER HEART is a heartwarming tale of two opposites falling for each other. I loved the medical drama among all the shimmering emotions. Author Susan Carlisle has a way with words which is incomparable.

Recommended for all lovers of medical romance.

I enjoyed The Rebel Doc Who Stole Her Heart quite a bit. I loved that the main characters were complete opposites when it comes to their world views. I really love that Michelle is so uptight and a bit of a control freak while Ty is all about living life and not a caring about schedules and being on time.

I found this story both sweet and heartwarming and it even had a good take away of running from problems never works. This story had a bit of spice, and I enjoyed the way it engaged me and even tugged at my emotions.

This story does a great job of allowing and showing both characters confronting their problems and growing. I love that it’s not just focused on one, that it shows that they both need to grow to be whole.
