    I ordered 2 copies: one for me to enjoy and one for a colleague who teaches Social Studies. I loved learning about these strong women who were labeled as witches simply for being themselves. Aside from being a terrific read, this book is filled with the type of facts that are "golden" when included on state or national history exams. Being able to provide a detailed fact about Anne Boleyn, Catherine de Medici, or any of the other accused witches in context could be a grade-changer!

    My daughter and I read this. It was a really easy way to explain where the idea of witches came from. She's already interested in the middle ages and this was a nice way to tie this bit of women's history together with other events. I love the maps and illustrations.
