Michael Showalter’s
Guys Can Be Cat Ladies Too is the hilarious all-access guide to help a man comprehend, appreciate, and bond with the felines in his life. They say dogs are a man’s best friend. True! But what if that man’s girlfriend/boyfriend, wife/husband, or mother-in-law has a cat? Is that the end for him? Is he resigned to an eternity of estrangement from this furry creature with which he shares his life partner, his favorite chair, and his sock drawer? Showalter offers hope for men everywhere in their quest to understand and love cats. In this intimate portrait of one man’s love for cats, you will learn the answers to burning questions such as: Why are they all aloof and weird and stuff?; They hate me, right?; and Is it true that they have nine lives? Armed with these and countless other valuable lessons, by the book’s end any guy can be on the fast track to becoming a cat’s best friend.

“Showalter enlightens the male species on how to become loving cat people . . . it’s an inside scoop on how men can learn to love the felines that come into their lives by no choice of their own.” —Trend Hunter

This book is not suited for a digital format. The text is unreadable in many places due to the grey scale; in the book there are a lot of places where the background is a light blue with a lighter blue text. There are also a lot of images which are hard to see with a kindle, even when you zoom in. Also, much of the time the images are on a separate page from the text that they accompany, making for a very disorienting experience. I would recommend buying the physical copy, which has none of these issues and is a pleasure to read.

I do not like my gf's cat at all (I am a dog person) but I am ready to make peace with it. I bought this book as a gift to my gf to demonstrate that I care about her so much I'd deal with her annoying - and evil - cat. She loves it. Book was entertaining and makes a good toilet read. Surprisingly, it actually had some funny ideas in there. Buy it.

I bought this for my boyfriend when he started taking care of my cat, and we have both enjoyed reading it. It is pretty funny, but it also has actual useful information in it. I've even learned a few things about cats! Definitely a cute gag gift for any guy who is new to being a cat lady :-)

I bought this book for my husband. I think it's hilarious and he enjoyed reading it too. I am a self proclaimed crazy cat lady though my husband is not. This book is a good read and great for guys who like cats!

This book is hilarious and thoroughly enjoyable. It's a great gift for the guy in your life. It's a little more black and white (strictly color wise) than I expected but that doesn't take away from it.

First of all, the printing color choices are problematic. They make it difficult to read. Some sections. Needs much more contrast. The content itself was not near as entertaining as other books that I've read for humor views of cats. It didn't suck, but it wasn't something I'll ever read again or recommend.

Shipped really fast, the book is hilarious. I intended for it to be a gift but I might keep it and buy additional copies for all my guy cat ladies.

Arrived swiftly & safely. Bought as part of a Secret Santa gift for a cat-loving guy at work. I had a look through it and was so impressed by the mixture of facts and humour, I ordered another one,for my 19-year-old son, who is also a cat lover (like me!).
