Not only is this a great story and an epic conclusion to this trilogy, but it is also brought to life through the great narration on this audio book. Buying the MP3 version was a big savings over the CD version of the audio book even though it is the same narration. I'm really happy with this and I loved the story too. I'm so glad I got this!

Not entirely sure about the ending of this. It seemed very anticlimactic to the rest of the story. Great set-up, but... maybe I just don't get it.

I am a big fan of Stephen Lawhead and read his son's trilogy with some enjoyment. A bit complicated in terms of the names of characters and the like but overall a nice read. Hopefully his next attempt will be an improvement.

A marvellous end to a spine tingling trilogy. Such imagination merged with reality and theology. The physically weak bring victory through spiritual strength. I really enjoyed the adventure.

I don't know what to make of this book. It felt like it left me hanging even tho there was closure. I would not recommend this series. I feel like I wasted a lot of time reading it.

This is a good finish for the series. The people find their purpose in life. Didn't say what happened to the knights.

This author is purported to be a Christian author, but do not allow your children to hear this unless you want them totally confused. he does not seem to know for sure if God exists or not, or if there is a heaven or hell, worse, in this book, the "hero" is possessed, forced to march into the bowels of the earth against his will, and then gets enlightened by talking to a dragon. based on the dragon's advice, which is implied to be a part of the hero's mind, he allows himself to be killed to "save" the kingdom. that should give you a clue as to where this author is coming from. I am pretty certain he is not a believing Christian, and this is not a children's book.

don't waste your time with this one, and don't give it to children.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, Ross Lawhead's first fantasy trilogy. I liked the way he chose to end the crisis and other parts of the ending were also quite particularly special to me (he will understand). I think we can expect much from this young writer in the future.

I am a huge fan of his Dad and have every book he has written. Now I am getting that feeling with Ross Lawhead who takes you on a journey that has been well written, described and approached in a different way. I am really looking forward to his next book!

It must be very difficult following in the footsteps of a successful writer, and trying to carve out your own path. It almost works for Ross Lawhead, but not quite. Some good ideas, but I really struggled to picture the story in my head. Not helped by very difficult to pronounce words like yfelgopes. I really wanted to like this series; I was loyal to the end, but it didn't quite do it for me.
