About the Author

Unlike other writers who knew they wanted to write the moment theybecame self aware, Richard's path to taking up the pen followed a moreleisurely route.

As a child he wanted to be a fighter pilot, later he thought it would be neat to be a rock star. Unfortunately, asan introvert, he was not suited for the stage. Once he gave up theguitar, much to the relief of his parents, he turned his attention tomaking movies.

Armed with an 8mm movie camera, several rolls ofaluminum foil liberated from the kitchen, and the spare bed sheets, hefilmed his first masterpiece. The story was about a space ship crashlanding in the woods behind his house. His sister starred as the damselin distress while his little brother, wrapped like a mummy in the sparebed sheets, chased her through the woods.

His career as a famous director ended before it even got off the ground when on opening nighthis mother recognized the missing bed sheets and aluminum foilresulting in his grounding for the remainder of that summer.

Richard has culled an interesting array of stories from his lofty imagination once again. I have read all of the stories in this book, and the reader is taken from the dark tale, like Perchance to Dream and the wildly-imaginative A Family Tradition to more subtle, touching stories like Where the Dead Things Go. I think my very favorite story is Don't Mess With the Pizza Guy. If you're into zombie stories packed with adventure, you'll love this little gem. I liked them all, because there's nothing like a good story to get you over the boring portions of your day.
