The Silver Lord (Harlequin Historical Series Book 648) Kindle Edition

3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 5 ratings

On the surface, Fan Winslow appeared to be the prim and proper housekeeper of Feversham Hall. In actuality, she was secretly heading a notorious smuggling gang based off the rambling estate's stormy coast. The arrival of Feversham's new owner, Captain Lord George Claremont, however, threatened to ruin her thriving business.

Having lived down the shame his rakehell father had brought upon their family, George Claremont lived by his honor and the kingdom's laws. Dubbed the Silver Lord for his feats in battle as much as for his sterling reputation, the celebrated navy hero was duty bound to stop any and all illegal activity on his property…even if the villain was a mysterious beauty with eyes no man could resist. Would turbulent passion be enough to forever unite lovers on opposite sides of the law?

Top reviews from the United States

I don't usually post reviews for books, but when I sawthe other one posted for this book, I had to post my own.We couldn't have read thesame books! Miranda Jarrett always writes a really good historical romance, adn thoughI was surprised to see her writing for Harlequin romances, the SILVER LORD is no exception. This book has wonderful characters, an unusual setting for a regency book, and plenty of action. She reminds me of Jo Beverly, another author I greatly admire and like. I would recccomend this book highly to anyone who is looking for a great read, and Jarret's other longer books, too.

I barely finished reading this book. I read it only because hey I did spend money on it.
The book is boring, unrealistic at all, and did not move me at all.
Seems to me the words the characters spoke were forced and meaningless. The characters themselves were boring. She was too annoying and he was not male enough for me (now i do know its only a book but still) The transition from one point to another is very swift which I personally did not like.
Save your money and time and buy something else.
