Six years after one hot night, a midwife has a surprise for doctor she’s now working with in this dramatic contemporary romance by a USA Today bestseller.

Her shock at coming face to face with the man who had brought her body and soul to life for one magical night six years ago pales beside the realization that Jed is eventually going to discover her secret. Sarah Morgan outdid herself on this novel! I’m not going to get into it and spoil it for future readers. If you love “love” you’ll be so glad you read this story. Enjoy!

This is a modern day version of Cinderella. She went to a ball. Fell into bed with a dashing young man. And left before he woke up the next morning. He went looking for her but without her name met dead ends. Now fast forward six years. And now they cross paths at the local hospital. When he finds out that she gave birth to his son things get interesting. She has issues about what happened to her own childhood which colored her now. The rest of the story line is what happens next.

Brooke's "independent" behaviour actually comes across as being mulish- and does not sit well. Would a mother in her position take help or want to be "independent" - take help to fix a leaking roof or take the risk of living in the house with her child……risking health and maybe life.

Whatever the reason, should she deprive her son of a father- especially …

Jed's character is very likeable. I felt sorry for him

A major portion of the book is devoted to what happens in the labour room etc - obviously the author has some first hand knowledge there; but here it just went on… after a while it gets to you.

The wrapping up was too quick and abrupt

I have read many SM books, and almost all had a certain element of humour, which is missing in this one.

I didn't expect much from it but when I read it it had a very good storyline. Though I find the main heroine very with little self confident it made it very sweet that the hero was that much outgoing and just a sweetheart for a male character in a harlequin manga or novel. I'm gonna have to get the novel in itself to read that one. It really was a sweet read.

This was a good read and I did enjoy the book. The only part I didn't like was the female lead being so stubborn about accepting that someone could love her for herself. Talk about "mule-headed." Geez, she took it to another level! But it did end happy families and I do love a happy end.....

Jed is the perfect man - tall, dark, handsome, kind, patient, and sexy. Brooke, on the other hand, while beautiful and kind, has huge hang-ups and is incredibly stubborn. She's pretty aggravating.

This book was a literal joke...cartoons. What a waste.

In all their innocence, children often reveal the truth in an unexpected setting, sometimes even more than once.
Adults have to deal with the consequences.
