Me and Katie (the Pest) Kindle Edition
Wendy’s little sister is good at everything—especially being annoying
Katie is always good at whatever she tries and everyone adores her. Everyone except Wendy, that is. Just once, ten-year-old Wendy wishes she could outshine her little sister. When she gets a chance to take horseback riding lessons, she plans to prove to her family that she is the best at something.
But it’s not long before Katie decides to steal Wendy’s thunder by taking riding lessons herself. Soon, the two sisters are in competition again, and this time Wendy is not going to let her sister win. Can the two overcome their rivalry and become friends—or is being first more important?
This ebook features an illustrated personal history of Ann M. Martin, including rare images from the author’s collection.

From Publishers Weekly
The sequel to Martin's charming Stage Fright begins with Wendy White wishing she could, just once, be noticed as her young sister Katie always is. Winner of prizes without seeming to try, Katie also is unbeatable at spying and tattling on Wendy. The chance to get away from the pest comes when Wendy takes riding lessons, until Katie joins the class. Does this mean another feather for the smaller girl's crowded cap? Wendy fumes at the thought. She loves horses, and the teacher assures her she is a born rider. If the pest spoils things for her again, Wendy determines to play a really dirty trick on Katie. As Wendy tells the gently humorous and warm story, she proves that even battling siblings can become good friends. Sims's pictures capture the main events perfectly.

Yes my name is Katie. I remember always checking this book out at the school library. It's so much fun. The story truly keeps kids interested. It has good lessons on sisterhood. Because I know that to my sister I was probably a pest at times too. I think it's best for kids about seven years old to eleven years old. It's about a girl named Wendy, whose little sister is perfect in everything. She can play the piano and pretty much do everything else. Wendy starts to feel a bit jealous and less than katie. Wendy decides to try something new, so she can get soem credit for something. Of course Katie doesn't make it easy. I don't want to ruin it for you, so I recommend you read it too.

Ten-year-old Wendy can't stand her 8-year-old sister Katie! Not only is the Pest always spying and tattling on Wendy and her friends, she's good at practically everything - piano, art, school - and always winning awards.
Wendy has never won anything or gotten her picture in the paper, which she doesn't think is fair.
So when she gets the chance to take horseback riding lessons over the summer, Wendy jumps at the chance. And sure enough, she quickly becomes good with horses.
The only hitch? Katie also begs for lessons - and before long she's also doing well.
Wendy REALLY wants to win a prize at the upcoming horse show! But what if she doesn't and Katie does?
Martin does a good job capturing the frustration of two close-in-age siblings, competing for many of the same things.
Although this book is technically a sequel to Stage Fright and has some references to characters and events in that book, this one can easily stand alone.

So happy to have this book, it was a favorite of mine when I was a teen. I have wanted this book for years and now I finally have it! Can't wait to read it again!
