Elizabeth Spring, MA, has a degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis in the work of Carl Jung. She has been a professional astrologer since 1992, and has written six books on different aspects of astrology, all with an emphasis on the North and South Nodes as they relate to life direction, soul purpose and past life karmic inheritance. She has also written 3 books of poetry--the most recent being: "Grief Grows the Soul; One Woman's Journey to Healing."

"North Node Astrology; Rediscovering Your Life Direction and Soul Purpose" has been her most popular book so far and allows you to discover your personal North Star: your North Node. Filled with examples and insights that relate personally to you, this book has brought Elizabeth recognition in her field.

"South Node Astrology: Uncovering Your Soul's Karmic Inheritance" is her newest book. The book reads like a spiritual detective story giving you a technique to uncover your most recent past life karmic experience. You only need your birthday and year to find your South Node in the Appendix, and then to read about it. Understanding the Nodes will keep you from repeating mistakes carried over from the past, keeping you from sabotaging yourself and your relationships now.

"Lifting the Veil; Becoming Your Own Best Astrologer" is the perfect book for learning astrology in a way that is simple yet designed for the advanced beginner.

"Saturn Returns; The Private Papers of a Reluctant Astrologer" is a fictionalized memoir for those who particularly want to explore the Saturn Returns at ages 29 and 59.

"Astrology for the Third Act of Life" explores and describes our transits from age 42 on, but focus's mostly on ages 59 and beyond. The author's memoir journals are included for examples.

"Grief Grows the Soul; One Woman's Journey to Healing"

How does one heal from deep grief? This book inspires and motivates one who is on the healing journey of grief.

Although these are "poems" they are not a random collection. There is a story-line here to follow; like a novel or non-fiction book--there is a beginning, middle, and end--a progression of thoughts and experiences that if read through can point in a direction of healing.

Spiritual without being religious, courageous yet vulnerable, this poetic story of one woman's journey of healing will awaken you to synchronicities and a flow of connection to your loved one who has passed. Elizabeth's story through these poems are a reminder of the subtle hints of love and spirit along the way.

"Piercing Beauty Loving and Grieving" In this illustrated book you will find my paintings and poetry written during the time of my daughter's passing. A beautiful book to give to someone who is grieving...

Elizabeth is also a Theosophist and has studied, taught, and written about the lives of Annie Besant and Krishnamurti for many years. Her screenplay on their lives won first place in the Santa Barbara Screenplay Contest, and her book: "Sweet Synchronicity: Finding Annie Besant, Discovering Krishnamurti" is both memoir and biography and would be of interest to those wanting to explore issues of fate, reincarnation, and astrological prediction.

"Soul Work" A Chapbook of Poetry is the poetry I wrote during the 30 years I was writing and doing astrology readings. My hope is that these poems will touch your psyche and carry you deeper into this places that only poetry can go.

This is Elizabeth Spring's third book on astrology. As always she is well-informed, lucid and innovative in her approach. In this book she teachs readers how to use their rising sign to determine planet placements in houses of their horoscope. She also covers major astrological transition phases. Spring always respects her reader's intelligence, encouraging the reader to use astrology thoughtfully - as a tool for self-empowerment. Rather than passively relying on astrologers and developing a dependency on outside interpretation, she encourages the reader to be pro-active and become an expert on their own potential. A great read.

    Excellent book!

I read all the previous reviews and agree with everything people said. I am fairly new to astrology, still curious what it is about, amazed when things work and disappointed when they do not. Since I am still searching, Lifting the veil... was a useful stepping stone. I have much to learn. I read the Kindle version and here and there there were typos and unfinished sentences, so I do not know if the printed version was different. The style was very accessible, like having a conversation at the kitchen table and I learned a lot. Now I have a list of next stepping stones, books recommended within. All in all I am glad I read the book. I read Elizabeth Spring's North Node book and plan to read her new Synchronicity. I know I will not be disappointed.

There are some interesting descriptions of the planets and signs and houses, but the structure of the information is lacking and therefore repetitive. She also includes much of her own personal life, a bit too much, although for some people the application to real life may be helpful for understanding. It is an elementary level book on astrology, I don't really recommend it. A note for the author would be to have it edited and reprinted if she would like a better response from readers. Glad I at least tried it out.
