Enjoyable read if only some of the facts, spelling of certain words, and the maps etc had been thoroughly checked before printing, because this series of books on such a famous battle, although beset with typical rushed planning by some who didn't listen to those who actually knew what could go wrong was pushed aside in the rush to score military and political points by such an audacious plan.
These books show the struggle that those involved in the fighting for the bridge/bridges involved in this great airborne operation, carried out in the hope of creating a quick path through the German frontline so as to then attack the industries in the Ruhr, hopefully shortening the war by several months, was to cost a great number of lives on both sides, which even the German Commanders said was a great battle by poorly armed airborne troops who also lacked being resupplied due to radio failures and the enemy having captured the documents with the information needed to get the air-dropped supplies dropped in the areas that they controlled.
