After the Music Kindle Edition
But Thorn wasn't the stuffy old businessman she'd expected. He was prickly, passionate, rock stubborn and liked to play matchmaker. And he had the perfect match in mind: he wanted Sabina, no matter what the cost. Didn't he know that there are some things money can't buy?

About the author

I was born in south Georgia(USA), graduated from high school in Atlanta, married my husband, James, in Habersham County, and graduated from Piedmont College(Demorest, GA) summa cum laude in history with minors in anthropology and Spanish in 1995.
I worked for over 16 years as a newspaper reporter on both weekly and daily papers. In between reporting jobs, I had a son, Blayne, my greatest creative achievement. I love iguanas and most other animals, and am the biggest geek on earth. If it's electronic, and non-lethal, I probably have one. I was always the kid who was out of step with the rest of the world, and I still am. My father was a college professor, so my sister and I grew up not quite understanding what prejudice was.
I traveled a lot when I was more mobile than I am now, and I never met a person I didn't like. Writing books is more than a job to me, it's my life, next to being a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a person of faith, but I respect all religions and all cultures.
I write romantic suspense for HQN books, mass market and series contemporary romance for Harlequin, and science fiction novels for Luna Books. In my spare time, I sleep. :)

- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2025I'd tell any person who reads romance to grab this one. I wish Neil Dover would write and perform a song based on After the music. Folks in the Florabama would rock loudly so would the whole Midwest down thru Texas. What a lively frustrating writing! You did great, sistah from the hills of Habersham!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2017Another treasure from Diana's chest of classics. The strong hero with a battered soul who hurts the one that he loves. I like how she made him cry at the bedside. I've read every book and look forward to reading the next. Sadly, some of the books have to end, because i wish they could go on and on.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2020Please keep in mind that this book is a re-release and not current with the times. Even so, I still love Diana's classics. Diana's books are a far cry from what you see in romance books today, so while she does have some sexy scenes, they are really tame. That being said, I enjoyed this storyline and the fact that no matter how tough they are they still fall in the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2018Hamilton Regan Thorndon the Third and Sabina Cains first meeting was without a doubt Hate at first sight. Things go even further down that path when Sabina agrees to help her best friends Al (Thorns younger brother and Jessica) sneak off to get married. Pretending to be engaged to Al to throw the overbearing brother off the real woman Al loves. Things go from bad to worse if that was even possible. Great read for any Diana Palmer fan!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2016As always Ms Palmer paints a great story with words. Great story, well written and so good reading. A fast read. A great ending to a great story. A great musician with a special voice and a poor upbringing, meets a special man who also has a bad life. They settle their differences to a very happy ending. I would recommend this book highly. - Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2011Even after ten years of reading this book the pull in my heartstrings still resonates. This may have been one of the best (or the best) Ms. Palmer ever wrote. The plot was simple but the development keeps the reader engaged till the end. It is sad to say that I do not pick up any of Ms. Palmer's books anymore. She used to have such a great variety and now all she has are the characters created in a town called Jacobsville.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2014I read this years ago and recently re-purchased for my kindle and enjoyed it just as much the second time around. I have read many of DP books and some of them I down right hate because the h is too much of a doormat and the H is a complete jerk. Not the case with this story yes the H is still mean but he suffers quite nicely and I like to watch them grovel. The h doesn't just take him back she makes him work for it and she isn't a doormat. I will probably read this one again when I'm in the mood for this type of story.

5.0 out of 5 stars I laughed out loud trying to imagine that being sexy a bit like him being dressed in a leotard
Diana Palmer dresses all her main female characters in all her books in GREEN!! Pale green, mint green, dark green, emerald green, grass green oh so much green I'm feeling bilious! I cringe at some of the fashions she has her characters in. one main male character had on a safari suit!! I laughed out loud trying to imagine that being sexy a bit like him being dressed in a leotard. But I can not deny she keeps entertained and I try to slide over the smoking and the fashion.

3.0 out of 5 stars storia un po' datatata
