About the author

Helen R. Myers has been published since 1987 with Silhouette, Harlequin, Mira, and Tributes Press. Her first book for Silhouette was a Golden Medallion (now Rita) nominee. She was nominated two more times and won in 1993 for NAVARRONE, a title inspired by her husband's enjoyment of the movie GUNS OF NAVARRONE. A winner of several other awards and an honorable mention in a WRITER'S DIGEST poetry competition, she wrote 44 series romances and 7 suspense novels, achieving a broad distribution of 28 countries in 25 languages with many bestselling titles including on the USA Today list.
In 2015 Helen went independent and joined fellow authors June Foster and Gail Reed writing as Helen Foster Reed. A FLOCK OF SPARROWS garnered local TV attention, and a teaser video can be seen on You Tube.
When their partner June moved with her family out of state, Helen and Gail became Myers & Reed. Their first release was the 2017 novel, LIFE & SPICE (Vita e Spezie!) under the Tributes Press imprint, which won a Best Cover award. Their 2019 collaboration is THE LIFE WE CHOOSE.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2019This book was exciting all the way to the end. I didn't guess who the killer was almost until the end. Great suspense and a good romance included. I will be reading more of this author's books.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2000From the first page I was hooked! Helen Myers has written this book in a way that flows several characters in one suspensful plot. She even had time to throw in a steamy romance between a hard core virgin and a "by the book" town sheriff.
I haven't picked up a book in a long time, but when I recieved this book as a gift I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend you read this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2014Great read! Page turning suspense.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2000"Lost" was by far the best novel that Helen R. Myers has written! The whole book was practially ALL MYSTERY and not so much of the romance garbage! I loved ever page of the novel. Helen Myers had great characters throughout the whole novel. It also had many suspects who you thought could have been the murderer. But whoever you think is the murderer, I guarantee you that you will be wrong, because the ending shocked me. I am greatly awaiting Helen's next mystery novel coming in 2001. This book is definitely worth the money!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2000I highly recommend this wonderfully crafted novel. The characters are unique, the plot distinctive, the pacing of the story excellent, and the satisfaction undeniable. As a veteran writer and editor, I can attest to the skill Helen R. Myers brings to her work. As a long-time fan, I applaud her ability to create entertaining, meticulously constructed, and thought-provoking novels. She sets a high standard that her fans appreciate and her colleagues should endeavor to emulate. I eagerly anticipate her next book, DEAD END. This gifted author is finally starting to attain the recognition she so richly deserves.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2000Being on spring break, I only have so much time to read and I want to read the best in what time I have. I read the reveiws on this book and though, "Oh wow, this has to be a great book!" That isn't how I would characterize this book. It's not bad, but frankly, it's not that great. The plot goes something like this: Six years ago a young woman was brutally killed in her home. Flash to the present, another young woman disappears and a message is left on the school's walls "I'm back! 666." Sounds good. The book doesn't play up on this to the point that I'm fascinated with the suspense. The heroine did have a different twist with her occupation and dysfunctional family. All in all, this book is ok but it's nothing to get excited over.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2000She's done it again. Helen Myers knows her craft. "Lost" is a woven tapestry of complex lives in a small town. The atmosphere of danger she sets on the first page carried this reader spellbound all the way to the end. It has it all -- suspects galore, charmers and cons mixed with tender romance to add plenty of sizzle. The recipe Helen's stirred up is sure not only to entertain, but provides points to ponder long after you finish reading. I fully recommend!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2001The book is quite interesting. There are a few surprises but some of the characters do not seem real.
