- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2017I wasn't sure about this book at first due to the reviews. I must say I am quite the reader, and always have my head buried in a book. I am extremely happy that I decided to purchase this book! I couldn't put it down once I started reading and ended up reading it in one night; one of the best books I've ever read by far! I absolutely love the main characters (especially Callum and Comrade) and the story plot. A MUST READ!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2015this was a random buy, I loved the cover work. in this case, the you can juge a book by it's cover! this is an amazing book! written amazingly well, with color and life of it's own! I read it on my breaks at work, and was late coming back from break cause of it! AH! I loved it! the story is about ayoung girl who is told she is nothing but trash in her old pack, and one night she runs. and meets the man of her dreams, her mate, her truw alpha and she learns what her true life was, who she really is, and what fate has in store of her and her new found family. I LOVE IT! I can't wait to read more!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2018This series is one of my favorites. I love to read all of Violet Samuel's works, but this series is by far my favorite. I am an amateur writer and have used this book as a way to critique my own writings. The author captures your attention from the very first line and never loses it. It is amazing and I have recommended it to all my bibliophile friends.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2015I gave this book 2 stars because it had a really good plot. Unfortunately, it was poorly written. I was always taught in creative writing that you should never say what should be shown. There were a lot of grammatical errors and sentences/explanations being repeated. The switching between the character's POV was giving me a headache. I would rather such a book be written in 3rd person or completely in one character's perspective.
One thing I completely did not like was the fact that the heroine was 16 while the hero was 20. I wouldn't be complaint so much if the characters were a few years older like early to mid twenties. I also didn't like the fact that this is a 2-part book which wasn't in the description. Debating whether or not to get the sequel if it comes out.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2016I feel in love with this story right away!!! Unbelievable how great this writer did writing all this for us readers! Pov I liked very much and I could get in the heads of all the characters in this book and of course I so need to continue on to the second one! Yay I'm just so saddened for conrad
- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2022Female lead is badly abused by her pack for years and runs away. She finds a new pack and her mate, the Alpha, but doesn't tell him who her old pack is because she doesn't want him to avenge her. She did all the cooking and cleaning for her old pack. Alpha of the old pack calls her new pack as they are "falling apart" without her. Her mate asks her to help her old pack and she doesn't tell him who they are to her. After all the beatings and cruelty they inflicted on her, she still agrees to help. A whole pack of people can't clean or cook for themselves to the point of starving????? She says "They’re all living, breathing people and even though they’ve done something bad, they deserve to live. A few beatings aren’t the same as a hundred deaths.” Because ONE person no longer slaves for them??How does that make any sense? She finally tells her mate the truth after the ghosts of her parents tell her to. Yeah. This book is absurd. She acts younger than her 16 years, literally running away at the slightest problem. She doesn't seem to know much about werewolves even though she grew up as one. One minute she's scared of her own shadow, the next she's "bold" pulling pranks and telling her own pack off. This is supposed to be young adult, but there is more young than adult which makes the intimate moments cringy. Trying to make myself finish it as I hate leaving books unfinished, but this story is seriously ridiculous.

5.0 out of 5 stars Five stars!
I really enjoyed this story, even though some of the previous reviews only gave it one star, I decided to read it anyway. I enjoyed the characters and thought it was put together well. I will definitely read the next one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely TERRIBLE
Ugh. Horrible, terrible, painful and oh-so-childish.
I'm guessing that the 5 star ratings that I see that have been given to this book have been given by the author's school friends/family or people that have been paid to do so. Why do I say this because... 16yo girls should not have sex, ever and 16 girls shouldn't write books and sell them either because honestly, the book feels like it is written by a child. The writing is terrible, the plotline is terrible. The descriptions are terrible, the by-play between characters are terrible. Every bit of this book is terrible.
I suggest the "author" go back to school, finish school, live life a little bit before writing and the author should also apologise to Patricia Briggs for even suggesting that her book would like by her fans because NO... firstly Patricia Briggs can write fiction whereas the little girl that wrote this book would probably struggle to hand in her high school essay.
If the "author" feels like writing more books then she should write for her age/maturity and perhaps try writing a "Spot the Dog visits the Zoo" type of picture book.
