After reading Rose Pressey's "If You've Got It, Haunt It" I knew I wanted to read more of her books with Cookie Chanel as the heroine. This was another delightful read. Cookie picks up another ghost, needs to solve another murder, and vows to get the hat back so the newest ghost can have the hat he wore in his former life. There's also a hint as to why the cat can use the Ouija board to communicate.

Can't wait for the next book to come out and read what awaits Cookie and her newest ghost friend!

Haunt Couture and Ghosts Galore is the third book in Rose Pressey's Haunted Vintage Mysteries and a great edition to the series.

Cookie Chanel owns a vintage clothing shop, It's Vintage, Y'all in Sugar Creek, Georgia. Cookie also has a sidekick, Charlotte Meadows, a ghost that was first introduced in book 1 of the series and a psychic cat named Wind Song. When she is asked by fashionista, Melanie Lee, to lend some vintage accessories to Melanie's collection for a fashion show, Coco agrees as it would be great publicity for her shop. After the show, Melanie Lee is found dead in back of the building with model Hannah O'Neil standing over the body. Hannah is quickly arrested for the murder. When the ghost of Samuel Sanders, a P.I. from the 1940's appears, he asks Coco to look into the murder. It seems he is tied to the fedora hat Melanie had in her possession and was confiscated by the police.

Together with both Charlotte and Sam, Cookie embarks on her own investigation to find the real killer. This was a fun book to read. I thought the characters were well developed and I liked the story line. Charlotte and Sam were a hoot. Just when I thought I had who did it figured out, along comes more clues that lead to someone else. I was highly entertained with this book and I'd recommend it to those who like cozy mysteries with paranormal elements in it.

Cookie certainly finds herself in the middle of dangerous situations but it is due to the help of her cat and ghosts. Who knew that ghosts would have the same love life problems that alive people have? Charlotte is certainly one ghost who is coming into her own and growing up in her element. I totally enjoyed this story because it kept you guessing who the murderer was and there were a lot of suspects. Fun read.

it was an okay book if your really into fashion then this book is for people who want to know more about vintage clothes. I felt she wanted to write a book about the clothing and need a story. so she choice a mystery as her background, to talk about the clothes. She had some things that were okay. The second ghost she had him as helping her and he really did do any thing. when she had both ghost tell her she need to work on the murder and when she did they would tell her not to go were she had to go. A lot of back and forth stuff. But the fashion information was good.

The show is filled with backstage angst. Why? Is this just 'normal' for this industry? Cookie doesn't know but she is thrilled to be part of it.

That is until...until she goes to Thank the designer for the opportunity and finds...a model standing over the designer's dead body...

Cookie must help this model. Not only for the girl's sake, but, because two ghosts are nagging her and one wants his hat back...no, I'm not going to give it away. Read this book and totally enjoy it. This is not a scary ghost tale but a likeable ghost encounter.

Some of the parts of this story are kind of simple, but the mystery is really good. I like the characters, Wind Song the magic cat, ghosts, and how they all go about figuring out the mystery. Cookie is a great sleuth although she is naïve at times. The police are really dumb even her boyfriend, but that makes Cookie and her friends shine brighter.
