Colin Gunderson worked for the Los Angeles Dodgers for 13 years, 12 of which as press coordinator and assistant to Tommy Lasorda. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia. Joe Torre won four World Series as manager of the New York Yankees and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

    I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend. I've never been a huge Dodger fan but have always loved Tommy Lasorda. Included are fun stories of not just Tommy but many of his former players as well including baseball greats Bobby Valentine, Mike Piazza, Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, Charlie Hough, Eric Karros and many more. Tommy is a master motivator and the stories are meant to be inspirational and relate to not just baseball but all aspects of life and what a person can accomplish with courage, grit and determination.     I never rooted for the Dodgers in my life. I had and still have a ton of admiration and respect for Lasorda. I'm giving the book to my 13 year old nephew who loves baseball and is also not a Dodger fan. we are both S.F. Giant fans. However the way to succeed in life is the strongest message expressed in baseball speak.
