Keira Montclair is the pen name of an author who lives in Florida with her husband. She loves to write fast-paced, emotional romance, especially with children as secondary characters in her stories. She has worked as a registered nurse in pediatrics and recovery room nursing. Teaching is another of her loves, as she has taught both high school mathematics and practical nursing. Now she loves to spend her time writing, but there isn't enough time to write everything she wants! Her Highlander Clan Grant Series is a reader favorite and is a series of eight stand-alone novels. The Summerhill Series is a contemporary romance series set in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region in Western New York. I feel like I am being generous giving this story 4 stars but I can't give it 3 1/2 stars which I would do. I am surprised at all of the 5 star reviews. This is my least favorite book of the series so far. This book was very exciting and it continues the families throughout the series which I love the entire clan. I love all of the braw hero highlanders but this lass was so immature, spoiled, and desperate about everything she was just annoying most of the time. The plot had some surprises and twists. The characters are well described along with the setting. My rating drop because I found myself doing a lot of skipping during some of the chapters towards the very end. It just wasn't the best story of the series for me. I am looking forward to the next book though. My favorite books have been Healing A Highlander(5star) and Love Letters From Largs (5star), Rescued By A Highlander is number 1 book and a must read that was really well done also. If you don't like descriptive sex scenes then you wouldn't like this romance story. All the books in this series have steamy sex scenes. Please don't lower your star ratings just because a romance book has descriptive sex scenes. There are a lot of authors who keep romance down to a simmer. The reviewers usually put in their reviews if the book is steamy, hot or sexually descriptive. So read the reviews before you buy the book and leave bad reviews.

An awesome Highland story! The well crafted plot leads Diana and Micheil on a chase across the highlands in a search for true love. Together they find it and rescue a clan from a usurper. The characters are delightful and it is a treat to watch them grow.

I always find it difficult to write book reviews that I feel do justice to books I have really enjoyed without giving away the books secrets. The Clan Grant series has been non-stop adventure and romance for me. I would highly recommend Micheil and Diana's story, "My Desperate Highlander", to anyone looking for a book to transport you to another time and place where the men are the amazing ones we all dream about. Each of the books in The Clan Grant series have well defined characters, unique plots and unexpected twists and turn you most likely would not see coming. I am anxiously awaiting Keira's next addition to this very enjoyable series, and hope she decides to continue going forth. The audio versions that are available for many of these books are extremely well done and enticing as we get to enjoy listening to how the characters would sound and hear the correct pronunciations we may have been unsure of. Fabulous read!!!

I am so glad KM decided to head back to the highlands. Although I enjoyed her last book which was a contemporary I really prefer the historical romances. Micheil Ramsey, brother to Logan, gets his story. He is a brave warrior and a bit of a ladies man. You know the routine girls he's done most of Scotland and now needs to head to England. That is actually stated in a round about way, but he is the one who keeps a level head as he is introduced to the h and immediately captivated.

Diana of the Drummond is told that she must marry Baron Ewen Gow of Falkirk. She has been raised by her father who is chieftain after her mothers death and he has given her a well rounded education but now he is sick and knows he must secure her future and that of his clan. He is leaving the final decision in the hands of their cousins from the Grant Clan. Yes, Alex Grant and all of our favorites are in this one including the children. Diana seeks out her cousins for their help to find her knight. It was a dream her mother shared with her years before that someday she would marry a knight in Edinburgh.

She does get her adventure to Edinburgh but somewhere on this journey the girl loses her wits. She is so desperate to meet her knight that the first good looking Englishman she runs into becomes her fixation. Poor Micheil spends his time trying to show her the mans true nature. In her defense she was sheltered by her father but the fact that she allows a strange man to kiss her and start to feel her up seemed very naïve and foolish. I don't like reading about the H/h with others once they meet but I cut the girl some slack as it only seemed natural that she should have some knowledge of other men before making her decision with Micheil. I mean why is it always the men that have all the fun?

The story has it's share of villains and action but is very sweet with the addition of Molly and Maggie. I do have a soft spot for children. Their are some love scenes in the book and all I can say there would be advantages to an experienced rake in that regard. There were also some spots where the author struggled with Micheil's name referring to him as Michael. It is a bit confusing and pulls you out of the story but it seemed to be all at one point in the book and then never reoccurred. I really enjoyed seeing all the old Grants and Ramsey's and don't worry about the earlier comment made both H/h are loyal to one another it just took a little time for Diana to figure things out. Enjoy!

The clan Grant series is absolutely brilliant and so enjoyable, it's full of adventure, conspiracy, a kidnapping and romance.
Diana is looking for her Knight to sweep her off her feet and rescue her from an unwanted marriage to a beastly and deadly man. Micheil is tasked to get her away from him and tries to help her find her Knight. What she doesn't realize is that the knight is right in front of her.
Follow them on their journey, and be prepared not to put the book down until the end as you'll be absorbed in it.
