Indiscretions (Scandalous Seductions Book 2) Kindle Edition
Viscount Lucerne Marlinscar is caught in the middle of a constant tug o’ war between the decadent and perverse Marquis of Pennerley, and the woman with whom he eloped, seductive heiress Miss Bella Rushdale. All three are bound together in a scandalous and highly volatile ménage a trois. As a result, Lucerne is careful never to favour one of his lovers over the other. However, considering the recent efforts Vaughan and Bella have poured into tormenting one another, he’s beginning to wonder if it’s not he who’s the outsider in their relationship. What’s a considerate lover supposed to do besides compromise? Is it even possible for three people to find a happy ever after together?
When Lucerne calls time-out for the night, petty jealousies have to be put aside for the bonds between them to be forged anew.
Indiscretions is a Regency-set romance novella with a high heat including M/F, M/M and M/M/F interactions. Expect ribald language, diabolical behaviour, and extreme decadence. You are advised to keep the smelling salts at hand.
“A fast paced saucy historical full of ambience, that brings a bygone era alive.” JERR “
Ms. Ellis does an excellent job of showing the conflict of each individual in this volatile menage. I found myself routing for the three to find happiness together.” – Seriously Reviewed.

I've read quite a few of this authors books. Each one is erotic and engaging.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2014The story is interesting and will complete all three in the series, but i wonder how it is that Bella is not concerned about pregnancy? It is never mentioned and find that inconsistent.
Overall, i do enjoy the stories, i find the m/m scenes very erotic. I have not yet been able to understand what about Bella makes Lucerne love her, desire i understand but while The Marquis is difficult and possessive, he is exciting, dangerous and vulnerable and his appeal is clearly understandable. Maybe i am being a bit hard on Bella, but hope i come to understand and like her a bit more in Phantasmagoria.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2022I thought this was a menage tale with no m/m. I personally don't find reading about m/m sex appealing. I don't feel judgemental about that because my gay friends tell me that they don't find heterosexual sex titillating and I get that. I think someone who is bi would probably enjoy this. I respect everyone's sexual preferences as long as they are consensual and sex positive. It just isn't where I am on the spectrum so I stopped at the scene in the conservatory. It seemed to be well written though without distracting grammatical errors.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2022First, I want to say that the book content did not bother me. I wan't offended by the material. What does offend me is when one book of about 500 pages, completed, is ripped apart to get more money from the customers. This book was only 99 pages. This is book two of about five books, all with a continuing story. I hate when writers break up the book to sell it in pieces. So I am done.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2019Such a scandalous story of three lovers! This is the first deliciously captivating historical menage a trois for me and it was an absolute delight. This author does an exquisite job of hooking and keeping you breathless and poised for more!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2022This was fine, not especially good or bad. The sensuality was kind of trite, but it was good enough to fill some empty time.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2019Well written novella of three people in love with the other. Taboo scenes and forbidden sex are the storyline but it has a well developed sense if the characters and how they are drawn to each other. Very good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars More of her scorching hot men for lucky Bella
I wish I could give 4.5 stars for this as I really did enjoy it, but it falls just short of the perfect 5.
I think the main reason is although very relevant to learning more about the three main characters in A Gentleman's Wager (and later in Phantasmagoria), the story as such doesn't go very far. Which is kind of the point, but it frustrated me a little bit. I think I'm just greedy and wanted more.
Vaughan is so desperately in love with Lucerne that he repeatedly tells himself that Bella is in the way, and Bella, herself in love with Lucerne, has to remind herself of just how amazing having both of them is; without Vaughan Lucerne really wouldn't be the man she dreamed of. Lucerne needs both of them, as he can never quite accept his desire for Vaughan and loving Bella provides the air of normalcy he craves in his public life. It's about as complicated as three hearts can get.
The writing is - as ever - exquisite, and the descriptions of the physical side of their love are scorching. Actually, I'm changing my mind. It's a 5. Madelynne Ellis just writes books that are so hot they deserve nothing less.

3.0 out of 5 stars Erotic Novella
I enjoyed reading this as erotica but the characters didn't really capture me. It's not their first book, but I didn't feel like there was a very good chemistry between all 3. Maybe if I had read the first one I'd understand better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well and tastefully written
Great book well written and definitely a bit saucy ,made a change to read something rude for a period drama but I bet a lot of naughty sex went on then as it does now ,think the fact that it was a taboo act made it a bit more exciting to read ,wasn't cheesy but was a nice love story underneath all the kinky sex

2.0 out of 5 stars meh
Very short (an hours reading max) and not especially memorable. The first book in the series was a bit hit and miss but at its best was sexy and sparky - this lacks that spark.
