I had a dream that started at the age of eight. It was audacious, but I didn’t know it at the time because I was eight. I was going to write a novel. This dream was big enough in my heart even then that I vividly remember the exact moment I wrote the first sentence.

But early rejection letters and harsh criticism nearly convinced me the dream was not worth pursuing.

I've since had nearly twenty novels published. But it was almost none. It could have easily been none. Our dreams are so easily crushed.

So remember: You have a purpose in this world. Something you are uniquely qualified to express. Don’t let it go.

As for the rest of my life, along my publishing journey, I have also earned a Master’s Degree in Ancient History, raised four amazing kids, built a shipping and logistics company, and traveled to Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Italy, and Turkey, researching my books and falling into adventures. Life has been full and grand, and I still have lots of stories in my head, all trying to get out.

I'm currently passionate about landscaping around my 3+ acres of woodlands, reading good books (by a crackling fire in cold weather, outside near my pond & waterfall in warm weather), and traveling the world.

I mentioned this is my review of the first two novellas in this series, if you're reading these as novellas—don't. I feel like I need to reread all three as a single book rather than breaking them up as they were originally released.

This series has an Indiana Jones feel that I found appealing and refreshing for the Biblical genre. I've often wondered why authors didn't add the adventurous flare because the Bible has a lot of exciting stories!

I loved the characters in this story. I wanted to know Misha and the magi better though. I felt that character development was rushed throughout all three novellas and I don't know the cast as well as I'd like.

The winning part of this series for me was when Kamillah and Misha met Jesus. This particular meeting and conversion were touching and I couldn't help but tear up. I would have loved to feel that kind of connection to the characters throughout the series.

I rated every novella in this series a three-star. It's not the best that I've read by Tracy but I can't help but wonder if it's due to the fact that I read this as a novella series. I think when I clear some time up on my calendar, I'll go back and read this series as a single novel.

As the pages of book 3 unfolded, I was drawn deeper into the story. Such an excellent book. I loved the way the One True God reigned in the final pages over darkness. So enjoyed the magi and others joining Mary, Joseph and Jesus on their journey into Egypt. To me, that would even make sense as the Bible gives us few details. Anxious for your next book, Tracey.
