The suspense is really building up to the conclusion that will be in the last book in the series, can't wait to read it. If you're reading this series, make sure you get all the books in it.

The title of this book and events leading up to this seventh installment in this Harlequin special release e-series, gave me the idea I should prepare myself for something really bad. However, I never would have expected things to turn out the way they did. The bad guys in this series are truly diabolical and creepy.

This book has more shock waves than a 7.0 earthquake, with more stunning revelations, lots of action, and the steamy scenes, I know you ladies have been waiting for!

This series is very addictive, and Harlequin has really allowed these authors to get down and dirty, showing off their chops, and delivering some very gritty storytelling. The only bad thing about it is, I only have one more chapter left. Bummer!

Another very solid installment in the series, I think fans of romantic suspense fans are going love.

Didn't expect this, knew something bad was going to happen, so it continues. One more segment to go before the end.

Worth the read. All 8 books are excellent.

I have been really enjoying this series but for me this book, the seventh out of the eighth went a bit slow in the middle so I left it for a while and picked it up this afternoon, I'm glad I did as it did pick up towards the end and back to the standard I'd expect and hope for but so sadly only 4 stars for this one, but I've started book eight straight away - come on Lara and Nick - you can do this!!

I have struggled through this series for the Booksmart review. This part hits bottom and belies all credulity. Let's look at just a few examples: First, there is the unreality of the FBI going to an arranged meeting with a criminal at night without night-vision equipment and adequate personnel plus armaments. They would certainly not be taken unawares by uncounted, newly hired thuggish miscreants, nor would they have ignored a wired agent under attack. Second, there is the paucity of research about federal prisons. In this part of the serial, the reader is asked to believe an escape from Solitary Confinement to outside the walls is just a couple of locks away, whereas, in the modern system, there are countless doors, sally ports, gates, identification checks, and security personnel to pass. And a third idiocy, the reader is asked to swallow the idea that deep barnacle cuts miraculously heal faster than a bruise disappears. I realize this series is written for the women who like strong female protagonists and hunky guys, but I'm also sure they like some plausibility, and this series reaches the point of open, skeptical laughter! Thank goodness there's only one more tale to slog through!

This book is certainly following the previous books in the series, in that it is brilliantly written. The twists and turns are so intriguing.
