About the author

Katherine Garbera is the USA Today Bestselling author of 127 novels.
Brought up in a loving home where creativity was encouraged, she never considered writing as a career though she loved making up stories for her sisters and swim teammates. She married young and started her family and only when it was time for her to return to a career, she didn’t love did she start to think about writing as a way to stay home with her daughter.
She began writing and submitting her manuscripts to publishers in 1993 and in 1996 made her first sale to Harlequin Books. The Bachelor Next Door was deeply emotional and sensual and led to Katherine being named as a Woman to Watch by Harlequin Books and later selected by Cosmo magazine as a Woman Who Does Everything. The book was translated into over 33 languages.
To date, Katherine has published more than 100 novels including The Pirate, a Cosmopolitan Magazine selection as a Red Hot Read, His Royal Prize, a USA Today Bestseller and her Christmas novel Once Upon A Texas Christmas was chosen as a Christmas Must Read from Barnes&Noble. Library Journal said of her release Red Hot Texan: VERDICT Garbera’s new series launch, a delectable spin-off of her “Dangerous Delaneys” stories, hits all the right notes: a cozy, hometown setting, a sweet romance with genuine yet flawed characters, and a mildly sensuous atmosphere. A solid choice for Jodi Thomas fans. Reviewed by Kara Kohn, Sep 01, 2020.
Her books deal with relationships in a realistic manner, dealing with problems that we all face including body image, self-doubt and falling for the wrong person. All of her books are passionate, emotional reads.
Katherine is a Florida girl at heart and loves the sunshine and pedicures. She makes her home in Kent in the UK with her husband and is visited frequently by her snarky adult children. Her hobbies include art journaling, bookbinding, cooking, walking and shopping.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2016In this continuation of the Sons of Privilege series, we get to dig deeper into Hunter's story. He intrigued us in the last book when he was such a sweetheart to King's little boy, and he proves to be just as sexy this time around! This is a fast read and keeps you intrigued as to whether they will truly find the answers they are looking for.
Hunter Caruthers was falsely accused of murdering his college girlfriend 10 years ago, and is still trying to find the answers as to what happened. His best friend Kingsley Buchanan was arrested right along side him and they both want to be able to clear their names once and for all and move on with their lives.
Ferrin Gainer is visiting her father to care for him after an illness. They aren't close, and she finds it awkward to be there, but when Hunter comes knocking at the door, she's happy she is! Hunter wants to talk to Ferrin's father, who was their coach back in the day to see if he can help clear up some of the events of that night. He's willing to woo his daughter however he has to in order to get a look at any possible evidence.
When it suddenly becomes more than just wanting answers, will Hunter be able to move forward with a future with Ferrin even if he can't settle the past?
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2016This was a great story. Hunter is focused on getting answers to the death of his girlfriend 10 years earlier. He wasn't counting on Ferrin (the coach's daughter) crossing his path though. He just wanted to see the files and tapes from that time to see if he could find any clues as to what may have really happened so long ago.
Ferrin was an interesting character. She had a lot of insecurities due to her father being more interested in football than in her as she was growing up. Plus she was certain Hunter was just using her to try to get to her father's files. The chemistry and sparks were amazing though. I loved the emotional rawness that we could see in both characters as they got to know each other.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2016I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have read the first book in the Sons of Privilege (His Baby Agenda, which is King’s story) and was very glad to read about Hunter. This story is about finding out the details and truths about what happened to tear both the lives of these two men apart.
Hunter is extremely close with King and his young son. They have been a team/unit since high school and all thru the tragedy that occurred to them. I won’t go into the story – you need to read it for yourself. Although this book can be read on its own, I highly recommend you read the first book so that you can get to know and enjoy all the characters.
When Hunter goes to his former football coach, to try to fill in some missing blanks to “the” fateful night for him and King, he meets Ferrin Gainer – Coach’s estranged daughter. She has returned to Coach’s house to help him thru some medical issues and to try to mend their relationship. His Seduction Game Plan is about Ferrin and Hunter, but also about solving mysteries and healing lifelong grievances, and finally finding the road to happiness for them both.
Good story, great characters, and a thoughtful read. I recommend.
