Michelle is a fairly new author with LIS but if you haven't read any of her books you are missing some awesome writing. This story is well written, action packed and full of twists and turns. I know you will enjoy it.
Virginia (Ginny) Anderson is a professor at a small college. Scarred from a bad accident years ago she feels she can only make a difference in the world through academics. To get on the tenure-tract she must complete her project. She is given the ancient tablet of the country of Amar to translate. She's convinced she has found the ancient site of the summer palace of their royal family. Some one is trying to keep her from revealing the secrets found on the tablets at any cost.
Former Secret Service Colin Tapping is now working at the college and is teaching criminology classes. He is trying to forget how he had lost his focus on his last assignment and his protectee had been killed. Now he is thrown into a situation where he must protect Ginny and find the man that is trying to destroy her. He can't let what happened in the past happen again.
The journey of two broken, struggling souls trying to survive as their whole world is thrown upside down. They must come to trust each other and learn they can't do it on their own. God has a plan for these two, a plan good and not of evil. God has a plan for you too. Just turn your life over to Him and He will make a way for you.

First time reading from this author!
I must say, I truly enjoyed Unknown Enemy.
The story started off with a bang, (which I'm a sucker for) and never ceased to slow down.
Michelle Karl was able to write an incredible intriguing novel filled with gripping twists and turns, with such detailed descriptions you felt as if you had been placed in the scenes of the novel. Her words flowed well, and there was never a scene written I thought the novel could do without. She definitely did her research too!
I instantly liked Ginny, who we find to be a kind, smart, and ambitious woman. She was spunky at times, and vulnerable at others. Extremely relate-able which is a big plus for me. Her determination was contiguous and I found myself smiling at her strength.
Colin was the dream hero, and what I mean by that is, there was no cliche rugged exterior he hid behind. His thoughts about Ginny, and his feelings, where clearly displayed to not just the reader but to Ginny as well, in subtle charming ways. There where several fantastically written moments that had you feeling for Colin immensely, and understanding his character wholly. The chemistry between Ginny and Colin was effortless.
This is a MUST READ for any mystery and suspense lover!

Professor Ginny Anderson and Colin Tapping (a CIA agent on probation) are thrown together at their university as Ginny's archaeological translations are making her a target of an unknown attacker. This is a thriller. There are lots of twists and turns. One is never totally sure who is the good guy and who is the bad guy for much of the story.

A very entertaining and suspenseful read that will hook you from the very first chapters. Michelle Karl has successfully created a world of mystery and intrigue while encouraging readers to ask themselves in whom they put their faith. One of the strongest aspects of this novel was the way in which the author writes as to allow readers to easily identify with the characters' thoughts and emotions, not to mention doubts and motivations, as she effectively develops the intriguing plot. Really enjoyed the read, and look forward to the next release from this author.
