You will love the Hero!
First let me say, Kasey Michaels is a favorite author of mine, and I was lucky enough to receive this complimentary autographed copy as a member of her new VIP Readers Group. I intend to share it with my book club. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, the plot was imaginative and the characters interesting. Great book for a day at the beach.

    I love Kasey Michaels' stories.

    These characters have spunk. As Dany and her sister Marietta are discussing options to save Marietta from a blackmailer, Dany's heel breaks and she trips head first into the arms of Cooper Townsend, the so called Hero of Quatre Bras. Coop, while knee deep in being blackmailed too, falls head first for Dany at first site and reluctantly agrees to do what he can to help them, as Marietta's husband Oliver is and old friend.

    It's a great story, with unexpected twists and turns, I loved it.

    I don't usually post a review but the novella included in this book just grated on my nerves so badly I had to say something. The widow of the brother of a duke does not become a duchess, dowager or otherwise just because her son becomes the duke upon the death of his uncle. She maintains the title her husband held at the time of his death. IE Lady (husband's first name) (husbands surname) I can see this particular character in the story line trying to claim such, but the rest of the characters should not go along. That in itself would have made an interesting character development.

    I enjoyed the story lines of both book and novella, but sure wish the author had researched titles better. 4 stars for the book but only 2 stars for the novella.
