God's Answer to the Growing Crisis: A Bold Call to Action in the End Times Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars 88 ratings

The dramatic shifts seen over the last few years—from economic to political to moral to beyond—have set the stage for a crisis that will affect every sphere of society. But this crisis isn’t just looming in the United States; all of humanity is at a crossroads like never before.

Mike Bickle, director of the International House of Prayer of Kansas City, offers God’s definitive answer to this approaching global crisis. He provides a fresh biblical perspective on:
  • The agenda to secularize and de-Christianize America
  • What the upsurge of secular humanism looks like
  • The rise of ISIS and Islamic extremists
  • The looming financial crisis
Readers will overcome fear and confusion in the last days and learn to pray effectively for this nation and the world.

Great biblical way to view our current situation in the world.

Speaking of prayer...."It is rare to find believers who are passionate about it and who place it
as a priority. Isn’t it amazing how quickly we place things above spending
time talking with God? We would rather watch another rerun on TV, play
another video game, or spend even more time hanging out with friends. Even
among more “spiritual” activities we would rather read another Christian
book, study another book of the Bible, attend another conference . . .
anything but actually pray! If I just hit a nerve for you, don’t worry—you
are not alone. Many believers today spend more time talking about prayer
than actually praying. I have attended more prayer meetings and
conferences than I would like to admit in which the leaders talked about
how great it is to pray and how privileged we are to be able to pray. Then
they spent time teaching on what prayer does and how we can do it. And
finally they even mentioned what things we specifically needed to pray
for. By the time they were finished, there were mere minutes left for
    actually praying! "
This honest and realistic quote from the book verifies the importance of the book's message. The author understands the situation and speaks to it. The book is worth reading.

Love this book! The Body of Christ is so divided between those who emphasize the great Love of God and those who warn of His Judgments. This book brings them both together beautifully! The Church needs to know God in His Fullness. And we need to understand what He is doing in the world today. This book reveals God's Heart while addressing these issues with love, boldness and clarity. I highly recommend it!

As we move headlong into Biblical End Times, much of the church teaches only about God's love. Indeed, there's more in the Bible about God's wrath than His love. Believers need to understand this balance and Mike Bickle's book offers a great study on this issue.

In a nutshell, Bickle sees the coming crisis revealed in Psalm 2 and that it will take a Joel 2 action to bring about an Acts 2 outpouring of the Holy Spirit during the end times. He sees a great falling away and a great harvest occurring simultaneously as the end draws near. He also reminds Christians that it's important to follow the Lord's instructions to watch and pray. Let the fact that I gave it 4 stars, made 82 highlights, and 3 notes speak to what I thought of this book. Any book that echoes what the Bible has to say about the last days and provides encouragement like Bickle does in this book is worth reading and heeding

This book is not just important, it is imperative for our present generation. The Church needs to become familiar with the growing crisis, what God has said about it, and what hope we have as His people. I plan to give copies of this book to my family members and friends.

This book lays out in very practical terms what every believer must know about the end times. It does not in any way try to predict when that will be, but discusses the responsibility for every believer regardless of the generation in which the Lord returns. Every generation must be prepared as if they will be the last.

If you want to read about doom and gloom, this is your book. But, if you want build your faith through the word of God, this is not your book. I totally agree on Mr., Dr. Bickle's predictions about events that are around the corner, but I don't have to read his book to know this, because it is all over 6 o'clock news

An excellent account of the current times from the perspective of a practising Christian pastor and preacher. Excellently researched. Very solid and sound description of the state of our nation (although written by an American about America).a tough read to see the horrors of our world in black and white, but supportive, in as much as the author keeps referring back to the Biblical foundations of faith in God. Highly recommended.

This is possibly the most important book I’ve ever read. (Apart from the bible)
It wakes you up and fills you with courage to pray with conviction and intention for the times ahead. As we enter the darkest days to have ever been, our hearts can be filled with hope and godly fear for His return. Mike Bickle has done very well to warn the church in a gracious and loving way.
    Thoroughly recommend

This book is brilliant! It so what we need to open our eyes to what God is saying to the church. It has inspired me in my relationship with Jesus and given me insight into what is happening in the world and preparing my heart to stand in the midst of the increasing troubles that are coming down the road.
