I'm a sucker for these medical romances and Sarah Morgan writes a good one. I saw there was no review, but did not have a copy of this book with me so I didn't have their names. Sorry about that.

In this book, the man and woman have been friends forever. She wants more than friendship and tries to put some space between them so she can get over him. He's, naturally, unaware of her romantic interest in him.

He has a lady admirer at his new medical practice that won't take no for an answer, so he tells them that his gal pal is really his fiancee. She moves to this coastal town and enjoys working as a nurse in this medical practice, initiates various wellness clinics and leads an aerobic dance class, and so on, which earns her kudos from her fiancee's fellow doctors.

I liked the fact that even though she is not a doctor, she contributes significantly to this medical practice. Most everyone realizes the nurses do as much to save lives as do many doctors, who do not have the amount of contact with patients to monitor medications/diagnose depression or so on without a good nurse's input. Her rapport with the patients is excellent and just adds more to like about "The Doctor's Engagement."

There's a daring lifesaving rescue in the ocean as well as some other medical miracles in their practice. This doctor and nurse have a witty, intelligent, close relationship that little by little breeds physical awareness. They have to live together so no one will realize they're just friends and as they share quarters they also begin to share a mutual lust for one another.

It develops into love and they live happily ever after. This is a good story and if you've liked "The Greek Children's Doctor" or "The Doctor's Runaway Wife" by this author, you'll like this one as well.

As usual I enjoyed this book by Sarah Morgan and liked seeing things from the British way of life but not as much as her newer books set in America.

Nurse Holly and Dr. Mark have been best friends since they were in elementary school. They have told each other everything until now. Mark, the lady's man, needs help from his friend to fend off a determined female coworker. Holly, the older virgin, has had something happen to her which she has not divulged to Mark. She has left her job due to this undisclosed event and Mark proposes she come to work with his employer and pretend to be his fiancee. Convincing her, she moves to the town and into his house. Events lead up to Holly noticing Mark as a man instead of a friend and when Mark in the heat of the moment kisses her the relationship flares from there. The previously undisclosed event comes forward and feelings that neither ever realized are confronted to lead to a real engagement. Although this is a medical romance it does not contain as much medical scenery as other books I have read. This is not disappointing to me but some readers expecting more of this may be. It was an enjoyable read.

I love Sarah Morgan's books. I love her writing style. Whilst waiting for one of her new books to drop I thought I would delve into some of her back catalogue and this did not disappoint. I read it in a couple of days. I couldnt put it down.
