A Fine Mess is anything but a mess. It's a completely delightful story of 2 extremely endearing characters that I have fallen in love with.

This book made me so happy! Sawyer and Lily are so perfect together...flaws and all. They remind me of Lily and Randy from Pucked Over, one of my favorite couples ever. Their teasing and flirting, the care they have for each other, the emotions these 2 evoked in me...I adored everything about them and their story. Even though their friendship was so easy, giving and receiving love took a bit more work on both their parts, as they each had to come to term with some deep-seated issues...and at times it was downright difficult. But anything worth having is worth fighting for, and Sawyer and Lily are strong fighters!

You couldn't ask for more when it comes to a friends-to-lovers romance...seeing the love between Lily and Sawyer blossom was incredibly sweet and heartfelt, it hit me right in the feels.

the second novel in the over the top series, a fine mess actually explores some deeper mental health issues than one expects to in a romance novel. we first met the two leads in my perfect mistake, the delightful first novel of this series which i bought impulsively while rocking my daughter to sleep and then ended up making the poor choice to stay up till 5 reading. it was that good.

anyway, so a fine mess has been on my too-read list since then. i enjoyed sawyer and lily a lot in the first novel, since their mutual attraction was obvious and there were also complications worth exploring. one of the things that is nice about the series is that so far each book has it's own personality. sometimes series like these can end up with the books feeling a bit cookie cutter, but that is not the case here. sawyer and lily's story is not the same as kolton and shay's.

a fine mess picks up a couple months after the events of my perfect mistake. it's not a requirement to have read the first book to enjoy the second, but in this case it does enhance the reader experience. and even though we know a bit about sawyer and lily given their roles in the first novel, a fine mess really develops their characters and gives them quite a bit of depth. there is a lot of emotional weight here, and this makes sense, especially given the kind of issues both leads struggle with.

both sawyer and lily pretend to be well-adjusted. but they both have deep-seated abandonment issues and trauma that expresses itself in different ways. one thing you never really doubt is the fact that they love each other, but you wonder if they will get out of their own way in order to get that happy ending they deserve. they work through a lot of stuff, but it's not doom and gloom. there are light frothy moments too. the characters get to experience joy together, it's how you know they are a perfect match. and when they do have to face painful things, they get through it. not easily, but they do. and i think their journey is so interesting. very much worth the read.

**a fine mess will publish on august 2, 2016. i received an advanced reader copy courtesy of netgalley/forever (grand central publishing) in exchange for my honest review.

Sawyer and Lily's story captured me from page one. Yet, it also surprised me as I haven't ever read a book about a character who harbors the secret Lily has been keeping. I found this aspect of the story unique and interesting and applaud Kelly Siskind for handling the topic so well!

Siskind does a fabulous job creating two wonderful characters, flaws and all, that you can't help but root for. This book, like all of Siskind's novels, has a wonderful mix of humor and passion, with characters you can't help but fall in love with. It's definitely one I'll read again and again!

I couldn't put this book down. I love all of the characters! I had a lot of great laughs with this series . The characters were very relatable . I cannot wait for Raven and Nico's story! I do have to say, out of all of the characters, Sawyer is my favorite! I love his personality . He gave me a lot of chuckles. Lily was so innocent and Sawyer brought out the best in her. I would love to see more of Shay too. I liked her fiestyness. I would love to see more of everyone!!! Hopefully we will see more to this series soon!

After inhaling MY PERFECT MISTAKE, I was eager to continue Kelly Siskind's Over the Top series. A FINE MESS was a great romance about two damaged people helping each other heal. Sawyer seems like a happy-go-lucky guy who spontaneously bursts into a silly dance, but he hides his pain and fear behind that easy smile. Lily is an ethereal woman, with her white-blonde hair and eye for design, who has hidden her own secrets so deep her best friends don't even know about them. I really enjoyed watching these two people, so full of pain and doubt, come together in this sexy, poignant story.

I absolutely loved A Fine Mess. It was the perfect friends to lovers story filled with steam and more laugh out loud moments than I could count. But it wasn't just the simple things that sucked me into the story. It was the emotional too. the love, the feels, the (OMG) heart of this story. Sawyer's playboy ways that fast turned into something real and genuine. And Lily's own issues that were all too real and something not many books tackle. Combining these two characters was a genius move on Kelly's behalf.

I absolutely adored this novel and truly rec it to any fans of contemporary romance.

I enjoyed the second book of this series. It was fun revisiting older characters. Sawyer and Lily are a great couple. They aren't a perfect couple, but are perfect for each other. They accept the faults of each other and support each other. I !lol forward to the next one!

Pretty sure Sawlor is my dream man, ok he’s got a bit of issues but he is so sexy, charming, confident, successful and who doesn’t like a mama’s boy. Lily is a bit too wishy washy for me but I still loved the book! Fantastic read and I’m moving on to raven now!
