There should have been more sparks between the two. It took me two days to complete. With a black and white couple I expected more.

This is a great addition to the Beaumont series. We meet Zeb Richards, one of Hardwick Beaumont's bastards that have only been rumored to exist. Although Hardwick paid off his mother and both she and Zeb have built successful businesses, Zeb's always been driven to take what he feels is his birthright from the other Beaumonts. Now he finally has the chance to run the Beaumont Brewery, and he's not going to let anything interfere with his plans—certainly not a feisty female brewmaster.

Casey Johnson has no time for the drama created by all the changes at the top of the company. She's concerned with beating her failing brewing equipment back into shape and making do with a skeleton crew. When she barges into the new boss's office to give him a piece of her mind, she's not prepared for the totally hot businessman who confronts her. And is it her imagination, or does he bear a striking resemblance to the members of the Beaumont family?

This is a quick read with a lot of emotion packed in. As Zeb learns to trust someone and Casey learns to open up about what she really wants, these two really start to click. Then, the unexpected happens, and they are challenged to find a way to get what they both want.

I appreciate the attention to detail about the brewing business. I felt like maybe I could brew a beer, or at least pick out a good one, by the time the book was finished.

This book focuses on the fact that love is love is love. The characters both have their baggage but it is not race related which I appreciated. The author hints at the microaggressions that black men face everyday as a reality but not as a dwelling point. The only minor flaw I saw was referring to being biracial as "no man's land" which it is not. But in the end this is a real good love story about two people who have an instant spark, meet cute and learn how to have a viable relationship.

Opposites attract in this grainy and groovy taboo love story.

This is the 1st book I read by Sarah M. Anderson. This book's storyline was okay. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. Casey & Zeb got on my nerves. The ending was okay.
