About the Author

Louise Allen has been immersing herself in history for as long as she can remember, finding landscapes and places evoke powerful images of the past. Venice, Burgundy & the Greek islands are favourites. Louise lives on the Norfolk coast & spends her spare time gardening, researching family history or travelling. Please visit Louise's website, www.louiseallenregency.com, her blog https://janeaustenslondon or find her on Twitter @LouiseRegency and on Facebook.

Annie Burrows love of stories meant that when she was old enough to go to university, she chose English literature. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do beyond that, but one day, she began to wonder if all those daydreams that kept her mind occupied whilst carrying out mundane chores, would provide similar pleasure to other women. She was right… and Annie hasn’t looked back since.Readers can sign up to Annie's newsletter at www.annie-burrows.co.uk

Georgette Heyer novels formed Sophia James’s reading tastes as a teenager. But her writing life only started when she was given a pile of Mills & Boons to read after she had had her wisdom teeth extracted! Filled with strong painkillers she imagined that she could pen one, too. Many drafts later Sophia thinks she has the perfect job writing for Harlequin Historical as well as taking art tours to Europe with her husband, who is a painter.

All the same but all very different. I liked them all but probably best to not read them all at once. Each one I read, I said, "oh I like this one best." They were all fine stories, well written and edited, and with nice heroes and heroines. If characters were supposed to be good, they were, and if there were villains, you knew they were.

It was ok. Some of the stories were a little boring (and I usually like Regency's). I did love the the happy endings at Christmas.

First two stories felt a little bit rushed and I wasn't really impressed by them, but I absolutely loved Annie Burrow's "Cinderella's Perfect Christmas" - such a lovely, heartwarming story!!!
