One of the things I've come to appreciate in Teri's stories are the vulnerability and utter humanity of her characters. It's one thing for stories to be a romance focused entirely on gratuitous love scenes (which hey I can read those with gusto as well). But stories like these not only exude sexiness and romance, but includes depth and feeling that you are left with an impression long after the story is over.
In this case, Ophelia wants to rise the ranks at Drake Diamonds as a jewelry designer. This is her backup career though since her passion revolves around ballet. But tragedy strikes her and her career and leaves her with seemingly no other options but to turn off the switch on living, and that includes relationships with men.
Into the fray of course is Artem Drake, CEO of Drake Diamonds who also has some history and baggage to deal with. But what I love is having Artem and Ophelia overcome that baggage together. Not just overcome, but accept each other and truly love each other. I found myself in a constant state of "aww" (not awe) in this story.
