I enjoyed this sweet, second chance romance and would recommend the book as a fun, light read but I did find it a bit frustrating. Carolina left town when she discovered she was pregnant (after a single night's mistake) and, knowing Wyatt's plans to serve the poor abroad, didn't want the man she loved to give up his dreams out of duty. It's pretty obvious they had a host of communication issues since she had no idea he loved her or that his heart had changed and he wanted to settle down with her and get married instead. Now that she's back, he's determined to know his son and be a father. My frustration stems from the fact that these two adults never actually sit down to talk about what went wrong and why she left. They do work to learn to coparent their son, but their interactions are fraught with bitter reminders and more miscommunications until, out of the blue, Wyatt decides to take a chance and propose and they live happily ever after. Don't get me wrong. It's a good book. It just would have been much better if they'd addressed the elephant in the room rather than shuffling him outside and pretending he'd never been there.

This is the fifth book in the continuity series Lone Star Cowboy League. This story is well written and will give you some of the answers that have been asked through out the past four books. I have enjoyed this series and look forward to reading the next and final book. I know you are going to love it and it will touch your heart.
Carolina Mason returns back to her home town to bring a letter to the Cowboy League about the boys ranch. She has been injured in a ski accident and is unable to work as a nurse. Her uncle had died and left her a cabin; a place she could raise her son. She had run off three years ago when she had found out she was pregnant. Her boyfriend had dreams of going overseas as a missionary and she refused to keep him from his dream. She is sure that he is now in some foreign country.
Veterinarian Wyatt Harrow is shocked to find out that the only woman he ever love had betrayed and kept him from his son. He's bound and determined to care for the boy and wants to get to know him. But does that include the woman who broke his heart?
A journey of two broken souls brought together at last for a second chance. Can they forget the past and forgive each other? God has a plan for this little family. A plan much greater than they had dreamed of. God has a plan for you too. Surrender your heart and watch Him move in your life.

I enjoyed this book and thought the characters were very realistic. This series has also been enjoyable and I look forward to the next and final book to see how it all ends! This book, however, is about veterinarian, Wyatt Harrow and Carolina, who left him 3 years previously when she found out she was pregnant and didn't think Wyatt wanted to be tied down with fatherhood. She has to come back to the small town of Haven to deliver a letter to the Lone Star Cowboy League, with her little boy in tow, and she can't believe it when she sees Wyatt. He was supposed to be off helping 3rd world countries - that was his dream! What is he still doing in Haven? As Wyatt finds out he is a father and gets to know his son, can Wyatt and Carolina put the past behind them and make a future? A lot of things have to happen. This book has some fun scenes- including some darling scenes with toddler, Matty, and the boys from the Boys Ranch.
I recommend this book!
