Editorial Reviews

Review

"There are no duds whatsoever in this collection, every cartoon made uslaugh - some for ages. We quickly became that annoying person who keepscalling everyone over to look at something when they're trying to work."Look at this one though!" "OK, seriously, this is the best one." "LOOKIT'S YOU IN BEAR FORM" and so on. We have no friends left, but nor dohalf the people in the cartoons, which made us feel better." - Holly Brockwell, Gadgette.com

"Moving on, Jim Benton is a madman. His comics are a brilliant breath of fresh air in a webcomics smoking lounge, but he's still a madmannonetheless." - Cameron Hatheway, whysoblu.com

"...this cartoon collection for "People and Advanced Bears" is silly, witty, and laugh-out-loud fun." - Erica Sadun

I first learned Jim Benton's work from my 13 years old daughter when she was in elementary school.I then discovered his twitter and reddit account in addition to his print books. He is so talented in many ways.I love his sense of humor and love his illustration. This book has 94 pages and full color.I love the fact that this book came out before the holiday gift exchange season. It's a great gift under $10 ($12.99 on its cover but mine was way cheaper) that is guaranteed to make people smile.I didn't receive this copy from anyone but I purchased with my own money :-)

Takes on objects and taboo subjects in good humor. Pleasant reading after a day full of misfortune and woe. Jim Benton, the artist/author is in my opinion on the same level as B. Kliban, with unexpected twists and really funny ideas to suggest a possible new level of world awareness. Humor makes everything better.

I bought this for my kid because he loves Catwad, probably not for kids. I didn’t I realize until after he had read the whole thing. Good thing the book is hilarious and I enjoyed it as well. Probably not suitable for kids but you should let him have it anyways, like soda.

I have been a Jim Benton fan for many years. I'm very happy to have a book collection of his comics.

I absolutely loved the book, but after a while, it just stopped showing the cartoons and when I open the book, all I see is a question mark on each page. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if so, how to fix it.

Not for kids. Profanity and inappropriate content. Why would this come up in a search for kids’ graphic novels? No where in the description does it mention it is for teenaged children or adults. Im sure it’s funny if it is what you were expecting.

Damned good. And incredibly varied in styles that all absolutely work. I follow his Instagram so some weren’t new to me. Need to get his other book, ‘Dog Butts’.

Jim Benton's humor is untouched. Except by Jerry. Jerry is similar. And Bob. And Hank. Not Elvira though...definitely not Elvira.
