The Secret Sauce to Freelance Writing on the Side Kindle Edition

3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 31 ratings

Done right, freelance writing can serve as your main source of income. Admittedly, uncertainty in income is part of the package. As such, immediately ditching your day job to freelance full-time is not an easy - nor recommended - decision. A more prudent course is to launch your freelance writing career while holding down a day job.

This book will help you ease into freelance writing with your day job as a net you can (temporarily) fall back on. It will guide you through the process of starting your freelance writing business while working a full-time job.

A writer is a writer and lives in his own world.
What happens when the writer wants to become a professional is actually face a friction - most of the times.

This book helps in salient ways to

- understand writer's business

- a simple step what is not used (so obvious but not at all used)

- see from a businessman's point of view

- make the writer wear an entrepreneur's hat

- transform 'just-a-writer' to become 'you-know-THAT-writing-is-special'

- rare nuances about actual green (This one part is worth the book x10)

Good material to grown professionally

This is a comprehensive overview for anyone considering starting a freelance writing business on top of their full-time job. It outlines the different decisions you'll need to make, questions to ask yourself, and suggests good places to start to find clients. All in all this is the same advice I'd give so I am happy to recommend it!

I will note this only gets you started. Once you're going, you're on your own.

Looking forward to find out more on their page. Thank you :)

This small book seems to be directed at people with no formal training and no writing experience whatsoever. It's hard out there for writers, even one with experience and degrees

I can’t remember why I originally downloaded this book, but I’m glad I did. Even though I’ve been a freelance writer for several years now, this book provided a good refresher course, provided me with some information about how I to attract individual clients instead of writing for someone else, and some resources to check out when I need to add some writing gigs to my roster. I really think it’s a great read for anyone considering the idea of making freelance writing a part of their life.

I had not considered creating a Rate Sheet but she gives some key points on the subject. I made a lot of notes. There is a lot more to freelance work than just creating content. She effectively brings those things to the surface. Thought provoking. >>Dee R.

doesn't give any information that a Google search wouldn't provide for free
