Seaside Secrets: Amy Maples (Love in Bloom Book 4) by Melissa Foster is a ’finally’ second chance romance. Amy and Tony finally take their second chance and the journey to their forever is a long, winding, tumultuous, emotional, introspective, painful, joyous and ultimately love-filled roller coaster. This is no ordinary second chance love story. The love and chemistry between these characters as been palpable from the first book of this series and Seaside Secrets lets the spontaneous combustion, fireworks and electricity have free range as Amy and Tony finally reconnect, in bigger, better, stronger than ever and mature ways.
The plots of Amy and Tony’s second chance revolve not only around addressing their past and secrets, but their present as well. Navigating the present into the future becomes a source of anxiety for Amy, but Tony is there for her every step of the way. Everything about this book is laced with the love this couple has for each other and is the impetus of finally making decisions that is the best for both of them.
Overall, if any book couple deserves a second chance for a beautiful, heartfelt HEA is it Tony and Amy. It’s all the sweeter with the amazing finale for the Seaside Sisters and not to be missed!

Emotional Impact!

Amy Maples has secretly loved Tony Black since she was six years old. Their families, along with several others, spent summers in a cottage neighborhood at Seaside, where the sun and surf lead to lifelong friendships and more. Along the way, Amy and Tony found each other, but life-changing secrets tore them apart. Skip ahead fourteen years, and the group is back together for a wedding. Amy and Tony still have amazing chemistry and their friends don’t understand why these two aren’t together. As the story unfolds, we learn the strengths and vulnerabilities of both Amy and Tony, and discover the amazing heat and endurance of their connection, along with their secrets!

Melissa Foster made me laugh, cry, and care about the characters in this story. Seaside Secrets is a wonderful journey! Emotional and awesome – it’s my favorite in this series.

I have read all of the Seaside books (more than once), and have now listened to most of them. B.J. Harrison is wonderful with the voices. After listening to several of his entries, I can't imagine anyone else narrating for Amy and Tony.

Another great story, another great couple. Tony and Amy have been the couple I've been most curious about throughout the Seaside portion of this series. We haven't had a chance to get to know Tony as much as Jamie and the girls so he was a bit of a mystery.

There is one little issue I had with their story but I cannot tell you what it is without having to mark this as having spoilers. I'm just going to say that I often think writers (of not only books but also tv shows, movies, etc.) try so hard not to offend people so take what I think of as the easy way out in certain situations. What I am talking about in no way detracts from this story. In fact, if Melissa Foster would have taken the other route this would have been a totally different story. So there's a real possibility that it was never even an option in this case. It's more of a general thing that bugs me in entertainment.

Now that I'm done with my enigmatic rant...I loved that Tony and Amy could both look back to 14 years ago and admit they may have perceived things differently then than they would now. As a mom, it's amazing to me how my kids will construe what I say in a way totally different than how I intended. And really, vice versa.

Now that all of the original Seaside residents are paired off, I'm interested to see who else will be getting stories in the future. I like that Foster has started to incorporate the Ryder brothers more and more into the books. Plus, we still have Skye's story I'm curious about.

The worst things can happen to good people! Amy and Tony fell victim to a sort of rare event, that broke them. Tony never gave up, but could not find his way back past friends! Amy wanted him back, but did not literally say that, but tried to imply it. Did not work! Tony leaped the wall when he thought he was losing her to Australia! They fought their way through to the future they both needed. Powerful emotions here, and you feel them! They make the ending sweeter! Experience them yourself!

This is another amazing love story in the Love in Bloom series when Tony and Amy rekindled their love for each other. It had been years since Amy had been in Tony's arms and she did not know if he felt anything towards her but she had to try seducing him one last time. She was considering a job offer from Duke and moving to Australia so she wanted to know if he was just friend status or if he was hiding his true feelings for her. Tony had been trying to keep her at arms length and hiding his feelings by just being there for her because he loved her so much and did not want to hurt her again. Fourteen years ago she had suffered a miscarriage and lost their baby and pushed Tony away. She did not want to get in the way of his surfing career and he became a successful professional surfer. She graduated college and had a successful career and owned her own company. He reconnected and had been texting her and being there for her when they were all together at the Cape every summer. This is the story of how they worked through their past and were moving forward with their future together because they never stopped loving each other. It is touching that all the girls planned to get married at the same time on the beach and now Tony and Amy were too. To have friends that were this close and had each other's backs and all found true love made for an amazing novel. This is a feel good series and I cannot wait to read the next book.

So I finished Jenna's book and immediately purchased Amy's story. I couldn't imagine she and Tony would share such a sad past.

I liked the plot (which is very hot as well), the characters and everything. I recommend it!!!

Wow what can i say, My first Melissa Foster book was a freebie, and since I read that I haven't been able to put her books down, and I count the days to the next Book.

The Love In Bloom series has to be by far one of my most favorite series I have had the pleasure to read.
You can really connect with the characters and cant help get emotional involved with the story.

We meet Amy and Tony way before we read their story,we spend a few summers with their friends and watch them fall in love and we know from out first mention of Amy she is in love with Surfer dude Tony.
We also know Tony looks after a drunken Amy every summer. In all the previous books of these series im screaming at my Kindle for them to get together and I'm so happy they finally do.

This book is a great read and i recommend it to everyone. i also recommend all other books by this great author. Melissa has out done herself again and i cant wait for her next book
