Before I got this book I saw there was only one review. My gut feeling was to give it a try. And I was not disappointed. I loved the strength of Abby and her healthy sense of humor. The sheriff wasn't sure about this steel magnolia and not sure she was trustworthy. The action kept me glued to the book, drawing me in as if I was there too. Hatred, greed, jealousy and evil stuck it's ugly head throughout the book! But with Abbys faith and courage in all the close tragedies brought out the meaning of good versus evil! Faith and trust in God through prayer won over the evil deeds done!
I highly recommend this book. There was suspense, danger, humor, respect and love throughout. I couldn't put this down.It had me guessing all along with what and who is trying to kill this sweet, choir director! Well done Liz Shoaf! I will be looking forward to more of your books!

Betrayed Birthright: Faith in the Face of Crime (Love Inspired Suspense) - I am always looking for good, new authors. I think I have found one. I really enjoyed this book. Good continuous action and suspense. Nice love story.

This book was interesting enough to keep me reading, but there were a couple of things that bothered me. Some of the plot was just so unbelievable to me, tied up too easily. The epilogue felt so rushed and almost detached. But I did like the message of hope and faith. I also appreciated the moral integrity of the MCs.
If you really enjoy suspense romance which is both clean and inspirational, then you might enjoy this book.

Loved this story so much in book form that I got a ebook on my Kindle. It was hard to figure out what was going on. I kinda think the mystery man should have said who he was, but that would have taken away part of the story. Great read!

Excellent Book! Twists and turns, quirky, endearing characters with several characters that could be developed in future books!

I hope this writer releases more books fast, because I can't wait to escape to another world of her making!

I loved this book!!!

This was a pretty good book. I could tell this was a new author at times, then other times she seemed like a seasoned author. The plot was good, with good depth that wasn't too extreme to believe. At times, I felt the characters were a bit goofy in certain things they said. I understand the author was weaving in quirkiness, nevertheless some of the dialogue was a bit difficult to find believable.

Spoiler Alert:
Okay, I have to say this. You don't have a dramatic shootout / finale and then the very next sentence have the main character confess his undying love with a marriage proposal. With barely a pause in between. I actually exclaimed, "What?!" when I read it.
Twice.
Startled my sweet hubby, who sat quietly in the same room, working on a project. Bless his heart.

Anyway, I feel like the author has a great future. I don't want this to seem like a harsh review because I really did think she did a good job. As a newer author, I'm hoping she reads this and takes it constructively. I really do look forward to reading her next book and seeing her continue to grow in her writing. The book showed a lot of depth without having an overly complex or unbelievable plot.

Blessings!

I enjoyed reading this book and I was glad that the Brother and Sister was reunited at last. I was so engrossed in it that I had to read it to the end before I put it down. I would recommend it to anyone.
