Betrayed Birthright (Love Inspired Suspense) Kindle Edition
Abigail Mayfield hopes her stalker won’t follow her to Texas—until someone breaks into her new home, leaving behind a photo of her late parents with a mysterious child. This time, with her guard dog at her side, the widowed music teacher refuses to hide. She can’t uncover why someone is after her by herself, though, not when the threat escalates from break-ins to attempts on her life. After saving her from a sniper’s bullet, FBI agent turned small-town sheriff Noah Galloway makes Abigail’s safety his personal mission. With the investigation taking them cross-country on the trail of her long-dead parents, the widowed single father can’t risk leaving his son an orphan. But Abigail needs him . . . because somewhere, buried deep in her past, lies a secret worth killing for.

I highly recommend this book. There was suspense, danger, humor, respect and love throughout. I couldn't put this down.It had me guessing all along with what and who is trying to kill this sweet, choir director! Well done Liz Shoaf! I will be looking forward to more of your books!
If you really enjoy suspense romance which is both clean and inspirational, then you might enjoy this book.
I hope this writer releases more books fast, because I can't wait to escape to another world of her making!
I loved this book!!!
Spoiler Alert:
Okay, I have to say this. You don't have a dramatic shootout / finale and then the very next sentence have the main character confess his undying love with a marriage proposal. With barely a pause in between. I actually exclaimed, "What?!" when I read it.
Twice.
Startled my sweet hubby, who sat quietly in the same room, working on a project. Bless his heart.
Anyway, I feel like the author has a great future. I don't want this to seem like a harsh review because I really did think she did a good job. As a newer author, I'm hoping she reads this and takes it constructively. I really do look forward to reading her next book and seeing her continue to grow in her writing. The book showed a lot of depth without having an overly complex or unbelievable plot.
Blessings!
