The Air Fryer Cookbook: Deep-Fried Flavor Made Easy, Without All the Fat! Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 626 ratings

Air fryers are hot new kitchen appliances that use forced hot air to "fry" foods without oil. This is a huge boon to home cooks who love the flavor and texture of deep-fried foods, but hate the fat, calories, mess, and danger that accompany frying foods in a vat of hot oil.

Ah, fellow flavor adventurer! Gather 'round the digital campfire, for I have unearthed the sacred scrolls—the “Air Fryer Cookbook: Deep-Fried Flavor Made Easy, Without All the Fat!” It’s like finding the lost city of Atlantis, but with less water and more crunch. 1. The Air Fryer Alchemy: Picture this: a sleek, spaceship-like contraption on your kitchen counter. It hums with anticipation, ready to transform mundane ingredients into golden delights. The air fryer is our culinary Gandalf, whispering, “You shall not fry!” as it wields hot air like a wizard’s staff. And this cookbook? It’s our spellbook, filled with incantations that defy gravity and calories. 2. Beyond the Grease Trap: A Flavor Odyssey: Sure, air fryers excel at fries (duh!), but buckle up, taste traveler. We’re venturing beyond the crispy frontier. Imagine flaky empanadas, juicy meatballs, and roasted veggies—all without the guilt. It’s like the air fryer moonwalks through flavor space, leaving behind a trail of stardust and zero trans fats. 3. Recipes That High-Five Your Taste Buds: From Buffalo Cauliflower Bites to Sweet Potato Churros, each recipe is a secret handshake among foodie friends. The pages practically wink at you, saying, “Hey, wanna make guilt-free mozzarella sticks? We gotchu.” And guess what? These recipes are like the cool kids in the cafeteria—they fit every dietary clique. 4. Time-Saving Sorcery (aka Weeknight Magic): Ladies and gentlemen, prepare to be amazed. The air fryer bends time like Doctor Strange. Frozen chicken tenders? Boom, crispy in minutes. Leftover pizza? Voilà, rejuvenated. It’s like having a personal chef who moonlights as a time-traveling ninja. 5. The Final Crispy Curtain Call: As you savor these recipes, you’ll feel like a culinary rock star. The air fryer becomes your backstage pass to flavor concerts. And the best part? You won’t need a tour bus—just a dash of curiosity and a sprinkle of hunger. If you are new to air fryer cooking this book will help you along.... Lots of idea's to get you started and some unique ones for the more adventurous. Approx 70 recipes of appetizers, main dish, sides, fries and chips and desserts.
I found the sauce recipes unnecessary and would have preferred they not be in the book but suspect they were placed to increase the over all number of recipes listed on the title. 18 sauce recipes to be exact.

But some great tips listed and some unique recipes i.e
    Tempura recipe for veggies,
a number of recipes to make your own Veggie Chips( potato chips clones )
    Fried string beans
    Smokey BBQ Ribs
    Coconut Shrimp
    Fried Buffalo Wings
    Apple Pies
    Berry Crumbs.

These are a few of the options and a number of made from scratch recipes for
    doughnuts
    cake
Pizza dough to make in the air fryer.
A quick reference guide will be the most valuable page in this book for many of us...
as will the TIPS listed in the front of the book.

Over all a good addition to your cookbook collection to get the most out of the air fryer
The Air Fryer gives you amazing and crisp results.
................ Just follow the directions and you will be singing the praises of your new Air Fryer and creating all sorts of new fun meals and snacks to enjoy.

For the most part I am happy with the book, but think I want one that has a few more basic recipes. The times I have used it I have had mixed results. The one thing I am finding is: most recipes require much higher temps than the book says. The positive side: most of what I have made tastes great, just a little lacking in crispness.

We have fallen love with our air fryer. I had been told to get a larger one and we did with the large Phillips. We use it several days each week. We had tried vegetables, meats and desserts. Very handy and practical. We would probably not cared for a smaller air fryer. We also purchased racks to stack different items and cook all at the same time removing items that requiring shorter frying times.

Todd English has very simple directions in this book, but; I wish he had more of a variety as in cooking sea food, .. and more meat, poultry dishes. I had bought coconut frozen shrimp and had to figure out how to cook 'frozen' shrimp. I looked at his coconut made from scratch and figured out to add a few minutes to mine to thaw it out and it turned out really great. You have to try each meat dish a few times to nail it right. Just remember that in an air fryer. . .cooking more than a few extra minutes can overcook your food. Less is better, because; you can always cook it a smudge longer if needed.

Just received this book, and just reading recipes, I already know this is a great book to have. Airfryers seem to be a new item, and their aren't a lot of good recipes out there, but this book has done a great job to cover all the basics. Once you have tried some these recipes, you will have the confidence to start making your own. Very pleased that I purchased this book, I don't normally order books online like to see them first, this was a risk worth taking.
