Heinkel He 111: The Early Year—Fall of France, Battle of Britain and the Blitz (Air War Archive) Kindle Edition
When the Luftwaffe was tasked with destroying Britain’s ability to resist invasion in 1940, the He 111 formed almost half of the Gruppen employed by Luftflotte 2 and Luftflotte 3. When the Luftwaffe switched to attacking cities and industrial sites the Heinkel 111 was widely employed, with raids against targets such as London, Coventry, Bristol, Birmingham and Liverpool.
In this selection of unrivalled images collected over many years, the operations of this famous aircraft in the early years of the war – particularly the invasion of Poland, the Blitzkrieg in the West, the Battle of Britain and the very early stages of the Blitz – are portrayed and brought to life.

IPMS/USA March/April 2017
"Chris Goss has produced a characteristically fine record of one of the Luftwaffe's mainstay aircraft of the entire period of the Second World War - the Heinkel 111 bomber...... The book comes highly recommended by the Britain at War team."

- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2018Great book on the He-111 bomber. A good pictorial early history on it. It lacks the details on the mechanical side of the subject but that's ok, I have other books to cover that aspect of the subject matter.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2024Excellent Photos on Early versions of He-111 with notes on many crew members. Organized quite well. The book would be outstanding if it had color profiles Side, Top and Bottom, as well as The same details in line drawings. The book is a valuable addition for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of Photos
And quite a lot of info too. About the same size as an Osprey paperback, but thicker. This particular edition includes a lot of black and white photos of crashed 111s (that's a good thing) mostly from the fields and beaches of England, and each photo has a little blurb. Very good and highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars VieleViele Bilder …
