Successful wedding planner, Lexi, loves big city life, but when her father leaves his Wyoming ranch to her after his death, she must return home to ensure the ranch's survival. With the help of ranch manager, Clint, and all his quiet brooding and mystery, she begins to envision a different life than the one she had planned.

Maybe it is because I love Wyoming...or Christmas...or Jill Kemerer's writing style, but I really enjoyed this book. The love story was clean and sweet. The characters were likable and their backstory makes you cheer for them all the more. It was a quick read, even for a slow reader like myself, and it will leave you excited for the next books in this series.

A wonderful story of learning to forgive the past hurts and trusting God to help you move forward and Love again.

Fist book in a series. Lexi looses her father and comes home to take care of her inheritance. Clint lost his dreams and needs a job. Lexi hires Clint. These two take you on a ride and it's a great one. Learning to forgive yourself and see yourself the way God sees you is hard but the best. Don't skip this book.

I chose 5 stars because I started reading and finished it in two long sessions. Had a hard time putting it down. Also enjoyed it because it was a christian story.

How on earth is the only the first book I've read by Jill Kemerer?! This is her sixth book with Love Inspired and I'm just getting on board now? I need to hand in my avid reader card and go sit in the corner and think about what I've done...or not done...as in read the first five books by this author.

Absolutely love this cowboy-centric love story! And it's really has a huge modern-day cowboy focus which is divine. As is cattle dog, Banjo! He knows hero material when he sees it and he sees it in Clint even though Clint wouldn't agree. This cowboy hero really touched my heart. And this story is a powerful illustration of how our own doubts about our self-worth can stand in the way of God's greater plans for us.

Clint comes from a rough background and he tries to compensate by holding himself to unrealistic standards that he has no hope of ever meeting. He's positive that he's not good enough for Lexi so, even though he's attracted from the get go, he makes a concerted effort to not do anything about that attraction. Talk about a slew of almost toe-curling moments. I was on romantical tenterhooks the whole read.

And Lexi isn't much better because she's got her whole life mapped out and that's happening in Denver not Wyoming so she's got to nip this crushing on her new ranch manager in the bud. Gotta love two stubborn people who are obviously good for each other digging in their heels while trying to prove they are not!

A delightfully frustrating love story that kept me glued to the page until I heaved a big sigh of satisfied relief when I reached 'the end.'

After the unexpected death of her father, Lexi Harrington moves back to the ranch in Wyoming just until she can hire a manager. Clint Romine seems the perfect candidate with his ranching background and quiet confidence. In this temporary situation, does God have permanent plans for these two?

I admired Lexi in this story. It's not often you find a female in a lead position in a story and she was the ideal character to fill this role. Strong, independent and built her wedding planning career from the ground up on her own. She has smart business sense and her top priority is keeping up the ranching side of her life in honor of her father. Her heart is torn with grief and she begins to feel alone in the world. While Clint knows a thing or two about loneliness being a foster kid most of his life. Feeling like he has no one or nowhere to call home. God is in the business of blending families together, and hearts too for that matter! Nobody is worthless or forgotten in His sight. I loved how these two learned that lesson for themselves. How they helped each other through the tough times of their past with a mutual understanding and a friendship being built. They have to work out all the kinks of course, but time will heal all wounds along with reminders of God's love. This was a very sweet happily-ever-after story that tugs at your heartstrings and warms you head to toe! Along with plenty of reminders for your own faith walk. Lastly, Jerry was a great mentor to Clint, always ready with his wise advice and unusual parables to teach life lessons. I think he was my other favorite character! I can't wait for the next installment of the Wyoming Cowboy series!

To be honest I didn't know if I would like this book or not but a friend recommended the author and I decided to give her a try. I'm glad I did.

The main characters are "the cowboy" who was orphaned at a young age and grew up in foster homes and not in the best of them. And "the lady" who grew up with a loving family, moved away to start her own business. But tragedy brings her home. The scars each one carries draws them together but will it also push them apart? I'd recommend reading this cozy, family friendly little book to find out the answer to that question.

The book fits in the Christian genre but is in no way preachy. It can be enjoyed by one and all. I'm glad I took a chance on a new to me author.

I loved this book! Jill Kemerer did an outstanding job of creating two realistic people who needed to learn to trust the Lord more, and each other as well. A sweet story, making me look forward to more in the series.
