Jen Griswold is both an accomplished entrepreneur and military officer with a big heart for serving. She is committed to educating military spouses, sharing resources, and inspiring them to start businesses of their own.

Her career began as a Distinguished Graduate from the Air Force Academy in 2000 and continued as a successful military officer. Jen was always called to serve. However, after marrying a fellow military officer and having children, Jen was ready to serve the military community in other meaningful ways. She left the Active Duty Air Force, determined to find a flexible solution somewhere in between full-time work and stay-at-home mom. Jen found it by leaning on her skills and training and starting her own businesses. Today, Jen leads the training, development and production of a team of over 8,000 cutting-edge entrepreneurs and co-founded Team G.i.V.e, a group who produces over $20M in skincare sales annually.

With several successful business ventures under her belt, Jen now pursues her passion to show members of the military community how they can find fulfillment through entrepreneurship too. Jen’s approach is unique because she believes that service and giving are just as important to business ownership as they are to military life. In her blog (www.missionmilpreneur.com) and book (Mission: Entrepreneur), Jen builds a community and encourages the rise of more military entrepreneurs as a way to strengthen military families, strengthen military retention rates, and strengthen the country.

Jen lives in Arlington, Virginia with her C-17 pilot husband, Kevin, and their two children, Cole and Ally.

This book was so relevant to me as a business owner - despite not being personally connected to nor the spouse of someone in the military. As someone who has always admired the dedication and perseverance of our servicemen and women, I was so excited to learn how to use the long standing principles and tools that become second nature in the military and apply them to running my own successful business - and helping others do the same. Owning your fears, breaking through the walls the pop up along the way, thinking outside the box, working with and for others for everyone's success abundantly are themes we can all apply in life and in business. This book was meticulously researched and incredibly enlightening. And drove home to me just how important the gift of entreprenuership can be, not just to the individual, but to our country. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Jen!

This book has been a true inspiration from beginning to end. A must read for anyone wanting to change their future. We don't ever have to settle. Jen Griswold is an incredible example of innovation, grit and determination. (I do not have a background in the military and this book still resonated with me on every level.) This book gave me an even more hope into my own future, strength to believe that anything is possible when I set my mind to it AND at the heart of everything I do is about giving back/paying it forward. I can't wait to share this book with many others. Thank you!

Jen is a "milpreneur"--a mom, a wife, a reservist, and also, by the way, a successful entrepreneur. She guides you along on her journey, citing her successes, her failures, her doubts and her dreams. She even provides a resource guide for financing and training aimed at those with military backgrounds. Her experience will help you succeed whether or not you are in the military community. Her measured approach and realistic self-assessment is a worthwhile model for anyone contemplating starting a business.
