The Skorzeny Papers: Evidence for the Plot to Kill JFK Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 88 ratings

In The Skorzeny Papers, the author reveals the details of the post-World War II activities of former SS Commando Otto Skorzeny. Considered by British and American Allied forces as “the most dangerous man in Europe,” Skorzeny planned and led numerous daring missions throughout the war. The story in this book was extracted by Major Ganis from Skorzeny’s personal papers. The evidence reveals that Skorzeny gradually and methodically became involved in US intelligence and covert operations during the Cold War. But Skorzeny’s network had a greater point of destiny in November 1963, when it was utilized to carry out the most tragic mission in history.

This story would have been lost had Skorzeny not kept meticulous records of his businesses and contacts, which were fronts for US covert activity. In the end,
The Skorzeny Papers reveal the intriguing web of secret organizations and people linked to the events culminating in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Editorial Reviews

Review

“Using the personal papers of one of Hitler’s former key commandos, Major Ralph Ganis connects the dots between a complex web that runs from Otto Skorzeny to the U.S. conspirators who took out President Kennedy in 1963. The Skorzeny Papers is a fascinating, important work that not only breaks fresh ground in unveiling who was behind Kennedy’s assassination, but discloses more details on the links between former Nazi officers and U.S intelligence agencies .” –Kevin James Shay, author of Death of the Rising Sun: A Search for Truth in the JFK Assassination

The Skorzeny Papers is a compelling narrative that dissects the post-war atmosphere that created Operation Paperclip, White Russian emigres and the Iron Curtain. Ralph Ganis has produced compelling research connecting these events to the events in Dealey Plaza.” –Donald Jeffries, author of Hidden History: An Expose of Modern Crimes, Conspiracies, and Cover-Ups in American Politics and Survival of the Richest: How the Corruption of the Marketplace and the Disparity of Wealth Created the Greatest Conspiracy of All

The Skorzeny papers is absolutely ground breaking... Once this new information catches steam the American people will be in shock. The content really exposes how deep this thing went. I went into reading this thinking "oh great another JFK book" but after putting this down i believe the author should be concerned for his own safety. The individuals implicated in this new evidence are very powerful and ruthless. I hope for our sake he turns these papers over to the Smithsonian. Give us more! This book is almost too hot to touch, on fire!

Having been in the intelligence and counterintelligence community for many years, I had no first hand knowledge of this issue. However, since Otto Skorzeny was and is focus of mine I had to read this book.
I am glad I did. Very well written with: Index, a strong Bibliography, copious Notes on each chapter, Four Appendix's, and a large Glossary.
If you are looking for guesswork on the JFK assassination, this is not the work for you. If you want a scholarly, well developed story line, founded on documentation and historical fact, this is the book of this year.

The Major has written a fascinating and important book ....I loved it....really makes one think deeply as to what, how and why our world view is often wrong. This history explains why a lot of today’s “ leaders” act as they do ..who is “good” and who is “bad”? A very good read for those who want to try to know.

Having read JFK assassination books for the last 25 years, this book clearly stands out among the best for breakthrough research. The book read like a thriller until its' anti-climactic finish. While I have read such authors as Jim Marrs, Harrison Livingstone, Anthony Summers, James DiEugenio, Larry Hancock, Dick Russell, David Talbot, James Fetzer, Douglas Horne, and John Newman, among many others, I can't remember Skorzeny or his organization coming up for serious discussion. QJWinn has always been an important puzzle piece along with the mysterious presence of French assassin, Jean Rene Soutre in both Fort Worth and Dallas on 11/22/63. More sinister is the U.S. Government removal of known OAS assassin, Soutre, from the U.S., immediately after the JFK assassination.
I was disappointed in the author's shallow analysis of the motive for the JFK assassination. The Rometsch affair is not remotely believable as a motive. Lyndon Johnson, who was being investigated for bribery in a Senate hearing on 11/22, had a better motive than anyone worried about Rometsch. JFK was no saint but there was a huge compelling war behind the scenes between the Pentagon and CIA hawks on one side and Kennedy's attempt at rapprochement with Khrushchev and Castro, on the other. By November, 1963, it was clear that Kennedy was not going into Cuba and was about to pull out of Vietnam. The Joint Chiefs knew it and the Cold Warriors in (and those forced out of) the CIA, knew it as well. The problem was that JFK's popularity was at 59%. The intelligence community and for that matter, the national security state, had the assassination capability before JFK's election. The removal of Patrice Lamumba was an example of that capability. Lamumba's assassination 3 days before JFK'S inauguration, meant more than the sanitized version in this book. It was a war between colonialism and nationalism. Lamumba was removed and colonialism triumphed. De Gaule almost lost his life a few months before, to OAS assassins for not defending colonialism in Algeria. The violent removal of John Kennedy was a huge victory for war hawks who coveted a showdown in Vietnam and beyond. Their fingerprints are everywhere. They won with bullets because they could not triumph with ballots. Bullets were a big winner in the 1960s.
Skorzeny's story, is proof that the CIA and U.S. intelligence were compromised by Nazis and right wing fanatics that were capable and willing to use means not permitted by our constitution to accomplish treasonous ends. This is an important but disturbing book.

This book opened my eyes to the vast covert operations and intelligence network employed by the US and it's allies during and after WWII. The information found by this author from his purchase of the Skorzeny Papers is truly ground breaking.

Skorzeny was a brilliant Nazi spy with access to a vast network of operatives. The US couldn't pass up the opportunity to employ him to the dirty work of covert operations and assassinations. The author details the progression of Skorzeny's relationship with the US and its allies leading up to a convincing case that the US commissioned Skorzeny to activate his network to kill JFK.

I was truly shocked! The names of well known historical leaders in government and business are laid out in this book for all to see. Why this book isn't a lead story on 60 Minutes is beyond me? Now I know why US presidents fail to release more classified documents on the assassination.

Unfortunately, the publisher inadvertently left the whole section of PHOTOS out of the hardback version, which included images of key DOCUMENTS, but they are in the Kindle version. A MUST READ for anyone interested in the JFK story. Perhaps when the book is republished, the photos will be included in the HB version as well. Needless to say, the author was shocked to see that they were omitted in the initial printing. This book is a must read for anyone who is interested in the DOCUMENTED truth behind the assassination.

Author appears to have done a great deal of research for this book, which is very impressive. And the book is also disturbing, if true. But too many flaws.

First of all, this book is poorly edited. Aside from all the misspellings and other grammatical errors, an entire paragraph is repeated, leading one to the belief that this book was hastily put together and that author is jumping to conclusions. I must say it’s very difficult to keep all the people mentioned in the Skorzeny papers straight to be able to connect the dots, as author would like. Author himself, for example, mentions more than once a reminder of who a particular person is just in case reader forgets. That, frankly, should be unnecessary.

The biggest problem for this reader though is the lack of hard evidence to support Author’s claims. The title of the book states “Evidence for the Plot to Kill JFK.” But there is no evidence. I also agree with one reviewer who dismisses as absurd the motive for the killing, i.e., the Ellen Rometsch affair. The veracity of the affair is still, apparently, alleged. And even if true, the killing of a President because of it is simply not believable.

With the people found in the Skorzeny papers positioned to connect the dots, Author seems to be leaving it to the reader to decide. Well, this reader needs more evidence to decide. At the end, the book made me feel that Author went through half the Skorzeny papers, formed a theory, read the balance of the papers, then wrote a book in such a way as to conform to his theory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating and fills in many blank spaces in the record

This was a very enjoyable book...informative and highly intriguing!.... It was fascinating to find out how many of the world's governments and intelligence services did business with Otto Skorzeny after the conclusion of WWII. The evidence that he was highly connected to many involved in the intrigues surrounding the death of JFK is indisputable in my view. Many questions are answered here, but many more raised in turn. Highly worth reading by those who take an interest in history, as some of the most important characters are frequently airbrushed out....such as Otto Skorzeny.
