Rev. Willis uses Isaiah 43:1-3 as his main reference to God's promise of deliverance. In the first chapter, Rev. Willis reviews eight names of God which show some of the delivering attributes of God. It is not enough to be called Christian, but we must believe that God can and will protect and deliver us. We have to “store up the Word in our hearts” so that when the evil tidings come, and they will, our hearts are fixed and trusting in Jesus.

Reverend Elbert Willis was pastor of the Christian Center Church in Lafayette, Louisiana, and was a missionary and teacher to many nations across the world. Pastor Willis authored 66 books which have been printed in numerous languages and spread throughout the World. He had sought to bring the Gospel to the nations even up to his last days. On November 26, 2008, Reverend Willis passed away in Lafayette, La., with family at his side. Countless people across the world have been touched by his ministry and will one day walk the streets of gold with him.
