I have read multiple job search books. I definitely think this has been one of the best. It is written in a simple way and provides good tips and motivational words to aspire an individual in their job quest.

Great book for just about anyone these days.

This book has so much in it. It presents strategies on how to approach a 'digital' job-market. It is also quite blunt in what each person's responsibilities are on the job and beyond. This book strongly states the responsibilities each individual must accept to succeed. I have read many self-help books with less workable advice.

Strongly recommend for anyone who is looking for work, may have to look for work soon, or just wants a book that will bluntly state the realities of today's economic situation, while providing strategies to help manage your way through it all.

Thank you!

This is the 3rd book I have purchased from this author over my career, and to say they have been helpful, is an understatement. I like how they are a very easy read and broken into so many small sections, that you can pick and choose the areas you require help and read those sections, versus the need to read the entire book. The questions and answers are very easy to understand and I love how he even gives examples to help you in your own thought process. This book is a must have

I first noticed this book in my local library and thought I'd check it out. Though I'm an educator by trade, I thought it wouldn't hurt to breeze through a quick book to update my resume for a writing job. Big surprise! I learned that my resume was extremely outdated with its Career Objective, job descriptions, and irrelevant experience, and I was also lacking a personal brand! This book really gets the job seeker to think about what HE OR SHE brings to the job, with all his or her unique qualities. I like the step-by-step format so much that I went ahead and purchased the book for myself in February. I'm taking my time re-reading it because there's so much information to absorb and incorporate into my documents. I do wish there were more Educator/Writer resume examples and tips, but what can one expect in a general job search book? It's worth the investment, in my opinion!

This book is very thorough and pretty much an all-in-one encyclopedia to career management. My mother had the original Knock Em Dead from about 30 years ago and this book literally took me from only being about a 3 from a scale of 1-10 to an 9 on a scale of 1-10 as an interviewee. This book also helps me as a career coach and advisor to people of all ages. Instead of getting different books on how to craft a resume or cover letter and how to answer touch or illegal questions, what to wear, how negotiate your salary--this book pretty much has everything covered!

If you're starting a job search or in the middle of one, buy this book now and read it. There are helpful career tips overall (and a very honest, matter-of-fact philosophy for thinking about your entire life as a working entity), but the detailed activities for revamping your resume, networking, and interviewing are instantly beneficial. My resume is in better shape than ever before.

Lots of great tips, and a good methodology to write professional resumes, prepare for interviews and overall professional development.
Highly recommended!

A must have, for anyone entering a job search. This book breaks everything down into bite sized, doable segments. I read the book in just over a day, and already employed some of the networking tactics, with positive results!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best job hunting book on the market

This is a great book. The author takes you through the entire process of job hunting, and provides great advice and examples of what to do, and not what to do. I particularly liked the section which covers online recruitment. This side of the industry has changed dramatically in the last 10 years, and for someone like me who has not had to look for a job in this time, I found this section very useful. One of the hardest things I found doing, was writing a CV until I bought this book. Again, the author takes you through the entire process - superb !
