OK, this is actually my second review of this book. After reading it and learning more about the language, this is actually pretty cool just like the rest of them.

Don't think I'll learn Korean from this book, but it's very entertaining and makes the language relatable. I wish there had been more useful phrases.

I am half Korean through Marriage, so I am somewhat familar with many words. The idea is GREAT...it is how I learn and teach foreign language words, but MUCH better syllable choices could have been made, even if the words were a little abstract. Just looking at the cover, "calm-psalm-me-da" is much closer to reality. My wife laughed out loud at how bad this book is. Skip it - Little Value.

Funny to read. Not sure how well it works. My girls forgot to pull it out of their luggage to use when they were in Korea.

I purchased this book to help converse with my friend from Korea. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the "pronunciations" is not correct at all. For example, the pronunciation on the cover is completely incorrect. It should be given as "Go Mop Sum Knee Da" instead of "Comb Mop Sunny Dad." I would be very wary of purchasing any of the slanguage books because of this.

The phonetics are close and this book is a good memorizing tool.
However, to most Koreans you are not going to get it right.

My friend gave me this as a gift. Just got back to the US after 2 yrs in Korea. I laughed out loud at some of the pronunciations. This book is useless if you're serious about learning Korean.

Amazon should seriously allow zero star reviews. Because they don't is the only reason there's one star marked.
Unfortunately I was just given this book as a gift. I have been learning the Korean language and this in no shape or form has anything to do with the correct pronunciation. Korean teachers will tell you to learn the Korean alphabet (한글) and not rely on romanization because it is not accurate. I thought romanization was bad but seeing this book is 1 million times worse than romanization. I don't know how well it applies to other languages but for the Korean language not only are you wasting your money you're wasting your time with this book. Trash absolute trash. If the author is just putting this stuff out to make money he should be sued. I don't know who in their right mind would ever publish such junk.
