This was a pleasant book to read. The heroine worked 3 jobs when she first met the hero. Everyone in town including her sister was fantasizing about Ares the millionaire. Ruby didn’t want him or his money. Ares asked her when he first met her what she wanted to do that night, if she could do anything. She told him she wanted to ski with the locals. The last night of the session, everyone in town went skiing, and just had fun. If she was off, she would be there. Lucky for her, Ares paid to have the bar she was working at closed for the night. Everyone who worked there still got paid, but had the night off. She felt she owed him a favor, so she took him skiing with her. Spending time with him, she slowly started falling for him. Throughout the book he didn’t believe in love. I’m glad he finally figured it out. The end of the book was sweet.

The intro of Ruby is great. Realy liked her. And then it was downhill from there.

Ares - not very likable , the usual HP jaded rich guy.

All thru the book establishing again and again that Ruby is all pure angel and not a gold digger. Gets old and irritating, real fast. The staff love her … blah blah blah …… yeah we get it

JL writes individual scenes very well, but as a whole it does not hold.

I really enjoyed the characters as well as the dialogue. It was both funny and sad at the same time but I always enjoy the happily ever after ending.

I enjoyed reading this book. The story of Ruby and Ares was emotional and brightness. Two very different personalities that mesh together.

I'm a big fan of Jennie Lucas. Ares our hero was alpha male. When Ruby first met billionaire Ares she tried to ignore the attraction but soon gave in. I liked how we slowly learned about Ares past that made him the hard man that he was. I liked that Ares was true to Ruby. No other woman after meeting her. I like a faithful hero. To me that is true romance. An easy read that I read in one sitting.

This book was an 'okay' read. Not boring, but not one I'll be in a hurry to reread. This story could be forgotten in a few months, and vaguely recalled as having read before. Not bad, but vaguely memorable.

Ruby appeared so strong in the beginning pages but few pages later she crumbles into a weak mindless push over. Ares was stubborn arrogant and emotionally unavailable. This could have been a good read but the characters took it downhill quickly

Great story. A charming girl who has struggled all her life. A ruthless billionaire who doesn't know the meaning of love. They meet but we don't get our happy ending before our billionaire finally wakes up and realises that he can be loved for himself.
