Almost gave it four stars but it's not the fault of the author that his pop culture references are outdated. Remains a fun bit of fantasy and wonderful characters.
I loved going back in time

Foster never fails to deliver. The world of the spellsinger is a wondrous place.
Great characters, daring deeds a nd chock full of humor.

This is definitely old school sci-fi fantasy. It is very entertaining, but it is obviously not modern. I don't really have any way to explain the difference. And it seems to have a reliance on love triangles. But as I said it's very entertaining and I do recommend it.
