4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 39 ratings

Not quite the assistant he was looking for. But maybe the one he needs… Conard County’s new urban planner is juggling more than a job—she’s fostering her cousin’s baby, too. And Diane Finch isn’t sure how her boss, Blaine Harrigan, will take to her cuddly new assistant. But the Irishman’s as comfortable with babies as he is with engineering complex projects. And he certainly seems to take to Diane, too. Even if she’s got a secret she fears will keep her from love…forever.

Writing found me, not the other way around. In third grade a teacher asked me to help write a play for the class to put on for a school assembly. The bug bit firmly and permanently.

Among my favorite things is having coffee with a friend, cooking Korean food, and trying to figure out my two cats.

Among the high points of my travels were visiting Mayan pyramids, Roman forts, Gothic churches and the Eiffel Tower. I even got to stand where Charlemagne once held court. Oh, and I walked the Freedom Trail in Boston.

There's still a lot more I want to see.

Diane is overwhelmed with a new job, moving, and beginning to take care of her infant niece all at the same time. Her boss offers help and they become friends, taking their relationship to another level. Then Deane panics. Awesome story!

I've been reading Lee's books for years and have enjoyed them all. I liked these characters and the plot of this book. Was happy to see that the relationship took longer than a week. Looking forward to reading the next book.

Not as good as her others.

I returned this book for a refund. After three chapters it just didn’t hold my arrention. I have read many, many Harlequin Romances and I am rarely disappointed. This book is one I would have read and enjoyed forty years ago, however as an “older” reader I find I require more action and excitement to keep me interested.
