By now you have probably discovered that there are two - or three - of me. Well, not really. I'm the Valerie Hansen who writes Christian Romance, Suspense and Historical fiction. This is my maiden name and much easier to spell and remember than my married name.

I've been published since the 1980s and have over 70 books to my credit, most of which were written as Valerie Hansen. MANY ARE ON KINDLE - INCLUDING TWO I HAVE REISSUED ON MY OWN! WAGES OF SIN is longer and grittier than my usual Love Inspired Historical titles. Good thing it's on Kindle or you might have trouble holding up all the pages. :) DANGEROUS DEVOTION is a romantic suspense in the style my readers are all so familiar with.

I'm thrilled that having my work on Kindle allows so many of my loyal readers to continue to find my books even after they're out of print and, happily, my publisher has recently begun rereleasing previous titles, some in combination with other authors. You'll get more than one book to enjoy in the shared cover!

I don't have a blog right now but I am active on Facebook and participate as a guest on others such as CraftieLadiesofRomance.blogspot. Right now I'm working to complete a multiple book contract plus more K-9 series books which are always great fun.

I really enjoyed this book. The relationship between Paige, and Cade seemed real. At times they made me laugh. I was a little disappointed it took so long for their 1st kiss, or for them to act on what they both felt. I guess that too made it seem more real. This book had action, suspense, with a light touch of romance. If you enjoy books with no sex at all, then you will love this book.

I really wanted to give this book a rating of 5 stars. I found both of the main characters interesting and likeable. I loved the suspenseful plot. But there is a difference between independent and stupid. The female lead does one stupid thing after another. For some reason she always knows she is right when in fact she is so wrong that she endangers her own life and others. The story line is suspenseful and dramatic enough without the female lead causing one dangerous situation after another. I was actually so annoyed that I had to stop reading when I was at 78% complete to write this review.
