A Gothic Mystery Romance
Cassie O'Dey arrives in Virtue, Florida searching for information about Becca, the mother who abandoned her. While staying at the same bed and breakfast where Becca last stayed, Cassie encounters a familiar ghost.
Walker Thayner, a widower, has returned to Virtue to work on restoring the bed and breakfast his family has owned for generations. Hoping to find solace in his work, Walker has shut himself off emotionally. Despite his sullen demeanor Cassie finds herself drawn to him.
Even as hopes of a future in Virtue fill her heart, Cassie finds her thoughts drawn to the dark past of this small Florida town. Can she solve a murder that took place a quarter of a century in the past and put the ghost of Becca O'Dey to rest?

Dark Hunt: Florida is a page turner! Having grown up in northern Florida, myself, I enjoyed references to places I have visited and descriptions of this part of the country. This story keeps you guessing up to the end.

Tamrie Foxtail has written a short, but satisfying novel about a young woman's search for the past. She has no idea she is the image of her mother, Becca. A popular and we'll loved girl who disappeared without a trace. The search for answers leads her to a path toward love. Not just romance, but familial love.

The twist is this: the hero isn't a dark, brooding, angst ridden character. He is very real and normal. There is a ghost, of course. Even she has secrets.

Enjoy this book for yourself. Worth every second of your time and every cent of your money.

I read a lot of Gothic romances. In my opinion, this is a mystery and there is also a ghost, but it's not a Gothic romance in the traditional sense, which I was hoping for.

Gothic romance, Dark Hunt, by Tamrie Foxtail is a dark tale filled with twists, turns, and spine tingling secrets from cover to cover. I had the privilege of critiquing this story before publication, and relished every page. I whole-heartedly recommend Dark Hunt to all readers who love a great mystery...and a great romance.

Although this isn't in the traditional gothic style, it's a wonderful story with a ghost and creepy characters. Wonderful mystery and a satisfying ending. Highly recommended.
