Michelle Robinson Obama served as First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. A graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, Mrs. Obama started her career as an attorney at the Chicago law firm Sidley & Austin, where she met her future husband, Barack Obama. She later worked in the Chicago mayor's office, at the University of Chicago, and at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Mrs. Obama also founded the Chicago chapter of Public Allies, an organization that prepares young people for careers in public service.

The Obamas currently live in Washington, DC, and have two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

    I enjoyed listening to this book. Hearing the First Lady speak her truths and being light to her side of the story was refreshing and educational. I learned so many things about her and what it was like to be the First Lady. I was often googling to see pictures from times she was talking about or nodding along remembering. I felt this book was well written and moving. Highly recommend.

    I'm enjoying the book so far. It's interesting to me. Yesterday I see it too visit the childhood home where she grew up. I also plan to visit the condo she and POTUS lined in as well as the house in kenwood/hyde park, as I do live rather close to both. I'm sure I've driven by both on several occasions.

    Amazing to see and read about someone from where I'm from , go on to the Greatness of Michelle Obama. She's from the Southside of Chicago, I'm from the Westside,

    I'll complete my review when I'm done listening.

    I have the book on Audible, but also plan to purchase hard copy.

    Michele Obama gibt tiefe Einblicke in ihre Lebensgeschichte. Der Leser erfährt von ihren Problemen/Schwierigkeiten als Mensch mit dunkler Hautfarbe. Sie hat sich nie entmutigen lassen, sondern hat ihr Leben angepackt und das auch sehr erfolgreich.
    Fazit: alles ist möglich, man muss es nur wollen!
    Das Buch ist sicherlich in einfache Sprache geschrieben, läßt sich aber sehr gut lesen.

    Leider zieht es sich zum Schluss ziemlich, als müsste sie noch unbedingt 50 Seiten dazu schreiben.
