    I started this series in 2014 when I was sick with pneumonia and looking for something to pre-occupy my mind. I had never read fantasy before and this was the first book I read by Elle Casey. Not only did I fall in love with this series, but I fell in love with Elle Casey's writing, her immediately becoming my all time favorite author. I've also fallen in love with every character in this series, especially Jayne and Tim. I've been chomping at the bit for these last two books to come out, even re-reading the series to keep the adventures alive in my mind, lol.

    This series has EVERYTHING; creativity, challenge, family, mystery, humor (seriously - HILARIOUS!), friendship, suspense, adversity, action, grief, romance, loss, good vs evil, humanity, life lessons, forgiveness, and most importantly - LOVE.

    Yes, this is fiction and fantasy, but it's also an incredible perspective and parallel to real life. I learned something from each book about myself and life in general. It's about accepting ourselves and others, despite of our flaws, mistakes and differences. Realizing that not everything is as it seems, humanity and being humble. It's about not losing your sense of humor when things get tough. Following your intuition and believing in yourself. It's about appreciating all who cross our path and teach us something; good, bad and everything in between. It's about not losing sight of the big picture in life, no matter how overwhelming the details may seem. Letting go of our need to have control and have everything figured out, which makes us miss what's most important...the journey. It's about finding yourself - your TRUE SELF, rather than worrying about what others think, want and do.

    To say this series is my favorite is a *huge* understatement. Elle Casey's writing is beyond creative, entertaining and brilliant, which translates into every book and series she's written. I'm sad to see this series end, but so glad I bought the books, which I plan to read again and again. My recommendation? Get the whole series up front because once you start, you won't be able to put it down!

    Jayne is Jayne as she barrels headlong into adventure in this final book of the the series. There is all of the fun and excitement but also heartbreak and loss. Jayne does some growing up and soul searching. She must make some major changes in her life with both finding out about her pregnancy and adjusting to it to be being the savior of world. No problem. I recommend this book for older teens and adults because of language and violence.

    To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I am the biggest fan of this series, but this last book, #WingedWarriors, was lacking so much in detail, in depth.

    The story fell flat. It seemed rushed. It didn’t have the umph that all the other books had. I missed the angst, the banter, the light-heartedness, and the intense seriousness. This is why it took me from release day until now to finish it. I was hoping for a big bang at the ending, but it wasn’t there either.

    The beat thing to come from the book was seeing Chase again. (I was all for Chase & Jayne from the get-go! Why’d you go breaking my heart, Elle?) (The reunion of Spike and Jayne was coming from a mile away, but almost worth it.)

    The other best part was this quote, one we can ALL use today in our every day lives:

    “I learned recently that the choices other people make don’t need to affect my life. Only if I let them, and I'm not letting them anymore. His battles aren't my battles. I have chosen not to let darkness into my life anymore. Our time in the Here and Now is too short for that nonsense."

    I am sad that its over. So damn sad.

    I really had forgotten how much these books made me laugh out loud. The way Elle writes these books its has the right amount of serious storyline and the right amount of humour. I love Jayne and I love Tim. I also adore Baby Bee! Their relationship dynamics had me in absolute stitches over and over again. Jaynes relationships with everyone are so heartfelt and full of love and that really shines through in Winged Warriors. The obstacles she has to overcome make her stronger and she learns more about herself as she does so. And without realising it she is actually maturing and growing up.

    There are some absolutely heart wrenching moments in WW that made my heart feel like it was about to explode, lord knows how Jayne actually got through it but she did. Like Tony says everything happens for a reason and he wasn't wrong.

    Anyone who loves fae and supernatural books should definitely read these books.
