- Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2012What a great story! Each page left me wondering what would happen next. The book was very well written and keep me on the edge of my seat. The story line was very intriging and left me wanting to find out what happens to the characters after the end of this book. I am sure that the doll will resurface to cause more trouble. Tamrie Foxtail is an excellent writer with a brilliant future ahead.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2013Daria is a woman struggling with the suicide of her mother and the curse of a doll made of bone. She runs into a former high school sweetheart, a man who broke her heart, and tries to avoid him. He's just returned from several years in the Marines and isn't the least bit shy. He knows what he wants and he wants to be a part of Daria's life again. He is persistent.
Daria tries to throw the doll away. It ends up back in her house. She considers selling it to a woman who seems desperate to buy it. Daria tells Rory about the doll, about her mother's suicide, and about her feelings and fears. He is determined to help her.
Danger lurks for Daria. She feels it but can't recognize it as anything other than coming from the curse of the doll. When her sister is kidnapped she becomes desperate. The kidnapper wants to kill any woman who has a happy, content love life. She has researched the doll and learned that the curse is one associated with True Love. She is willing to kill for the doll.
"The Bone Bride" is part of the Tales of the Scrimshaw Doll Series from The Wild Rose Press. The authors are all from Oklahoma and have chosen to tell the story of a cursed doll made of bone through centuries.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2012This great story locked me in, on the first page. While I was busy pulling for Daira & Rory's relationship to rekindle , I was terrified about the dangers their love could bring. And that cursed doll.......that darned cursed doll; I half expected her to show up in MY house. Keeping my eye on this author; she packs a powerful read!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2012I loved this wonderfully written story. I felt like I knew the characters and their lives. When I finished reading it, I wanted more. I couldn't believe that this ebook wasn't a trilogy. Tamrie Foxtail is a very awesome author and I can't wait to read more of her stories.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2012I am elated to see "The Bone Bride" available on Amazon--just in time for Halloween! This is a spine-tingling tale of an old flame rekindled, an ancient gypsy curse, and a bone-carved doll hell-bent on revenge.
I had the privilege of reading this story before publication, and was swept away by the depth of Tamrie Foxtail's characters, and the strength of her writing.
This author has an outstanding voice, and I eagerly await the thrills that are sure to follow "The Bone Bride."
