Enjoyed reading from start to finish. I enjoyed Book #3 the most out of all three. I will be looking into novels to read in the future.

I liked this book because I loved the male lead. He is sweet and kind but still strong. Did not like the heroine however.

Enjoyed every book in the series

Justina is a spiteful unforgiving witch. I loved the whole book until I got to the end. That ruined the whole story for me. Other than deaths that shouldn't have happened.

Laurel O'Donnell does an amazing job of weaving a story to hold you attention and your breath at times until the last page. This is the tale of Gawyn, brother of Damien from the Angel's Assassin. I was so glad to read his story because I knew that it would be intriguing. Gawyn and Damien had been sold at a young age as slaves by their father. They had been forced to be assassins but had been split up and not seen each other for years. Now they were both free and Damien is married to Lady Aurora, who rules Aquitaine. Gawyn is Captain of his brother's guard and while in town, he sees a girl trying to get a glimpse of Damien and his wife. Justina and her brother were in town to see Lady Aurora and her husband who rule Acquitiane. When she sees Damien, she is stunned to realize he is the man who killed her father!

Damien notices Justina staring at him and sends Gawyn to find out what she knows of his past and bring her to the castle. Damien's hope is that she can forgive him by seeing how he has changed and become a good man. Then the story starts with Gawyn and Justina's attraction but there are dark days ahead. The castle is invaded and death and chaos abounds.

Another story of dark and light and good and evil that will hold you riveted to the pages. But rest assured, your heart smile at the end. Do not miss this series and although this can be read alone, I encourage you to read the first two books. You will be glad you did! Cannot wait to read more from this author!!

Gawyn is the brother of Lord Damien from ANGEL'S ASSASSIN and CHERISHED PROTECTOR OF HER HEART. Gawyn was also an assassin before becoming the captain of his brother's guard in Acquitaine. Justina and her brother are in town when she sees Damien and recognizes him as the monster who killed her father. Gawyn is sent to find her. Bringing her and her brother back to Acquitane, he hopes to show her that his brother has changed, but can he reveal his past without losing her. Raiding barbarians bring violence, pain and death. O'Donnell doesn't hold back to the point that I was surprised at the turn of the story. Give yourself plenty of time to read this one. You won't want to put it down. A keeper to go with ANGEL'S ASSASSIN and CHERISHED PROTECTOR OF HER HEART.

Gawyn and his brother Damien were raised slaves. They committed the atrocities commanded by their master. This is book three in the Angel's Assassin series. Damien found his happiness in the first book. Can Gawyn now find his happiness now that Damien is safe from harm? You will love this series.

I usually like this author, but this book just didn't work for me. The story felt very disjointed and abrupt. The romance was undeveloped and some of the events in the story were more disturbing than I was expecting. That said, I really enjoyed the first 2 books in this series... just not this one.
